Vinicius is at risk of being offloaded by Real Madrid. |
According to Le Journal du Real , the Real Madrid management has signaled to Vinicius and his representatives that there will be no further contract extension offers.
Vincius has two options: sign the contract offered by his club, or be put up for sale as soon as the 2026 summer transfer window opens.
If Vinicius refuses to extend his contract, Real Madrid will act as quickly as possible next summer to avoid losing the Brazilian player for free. Currently, Vinicius is valued at over 100 million euros.
In May, Vinicius came very close to reaching an agreement with Real Madrid's management. According to ESPN , the new contract is expected to give the 25-year-old striker a fixed salary of up to 20 million euros per year, plus 10 million euros in bonuses based on individual and team achievements, such as goals, assists, or titles won. This would push Vinicius's total income to the highest in the team, on par with Kylian Mbappe.
Both sides had almost agreed on all terms and planned to sign a new contract, keeping Vinicius at Bernabeu until 2030. However, Real Madrid then abruptly changed the negotiated terms. The €10 million bonus, a key factor in Vinicius's acceptance without disrupting the club's wage structure, was completely removed.
Instead, Real's proposal focused solely on a fixed salary of around 20-23 million euros per year, without any attractive variable clauses. This angered Vinicius's side, who felt it was "unfair".
