According to the new organizational structure, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will have a director and deputy directors; 7 professional departments and 2 public non-business units. Specifically, there is no longer the head and deputy department, and replaced by the head and deputy head of the department with departments such as the Department of Travel Management, Department of Tourism Accommodation Management, Department of Tourism Promotion Management, etc.
Regarding the transitional regulations, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will inherit the duties and powers of the General Department of Tourism according to regulations.
According to the report of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the whole country currently has 3.423 international travel agencies (an increase of 1.008 enterprises compared to the same period in 2022); 34.874 tour guides have been issued cards (increasing 4.037 guides over the same period in 2022), including 20.387 international guides, 12.963 domestic guides, 1.524 on-site guides. Regarding tourist accommodation establishments, the whole country has 235 5-star tourist accommodation establishments with 77.895 rooms; 354 4-star tourist accommodation establishments with 47.502 rooms.
