According to the Telegraph , Spurs will have to pay a compensation fee of up to £10 million to complete the deal with Brentford. Throughout the weekend, the two clubs held discussions to agree on the terms of the contract.
Thomas Frank is reportedly keen to replace Postecoglou, who was sacked after Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League. The 51-year-old manager hopes to bring his coaching staff from Brentford to London to work for Tottenham as part of the deal.
Despite Tottenham's recent upheaval, Brentford have only beaten Spurs once in nine matches under Frank's management. That single victory came in May 2023, when Bryan Mbeumo scored two goals to give Brentford a 3-1 away win.
Tottenham want to finalize the appointment of Thomas Frank as soon as possible, with many rivals making active moves in the transfer market. The addition of an experienced coach like Frank is expected to help Tottenham regain their form and aim for higher goals next season.
Previously, many Tottenham players were reportedly very unhappy when the management sacked manager Postecoglou. Several first-team players were ready to leave the club this summer.
An anonymous player told the Daily Mail : "The players are very angry about what has happened. The new manager will face a difficult situation."
