
Currently, five high-speed ferries connecting Phu Quy Island to the mainland are operating at full capacity, with tickets often fully booked. Tourists visiting the island enjoy activities such as stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), kiteboarding, exploring pristine beaches, fishing, net fishing, and enjoying seafood on floating rafts.
Local authorities have also intensified inspections of accommodation establishments and tourism services, requiring price listing, ensuring food safety and hygiene, environmental sanitation, and launching a campaign to reduce plastic waste.
In the first six months of 2026, Phu Quy Special Economic Zone is expected to welcome over 126,000 visitors, an increase of more than 29,000 compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, in Mui Ne tourist area, summer occupancy rates remain at 60-70%, with many establishments reaching over 90% on weekends. Products such as water sports , community tourism, and Cham cultural experiences continue to attract visitors.
Khanh Hoa province is entering its peak summer tourism season with a vibrant atmosphere in Nha Trang and its coastal and island destinations. Nha Trang tourist port welcomes approximately 6,000 visitors daily, potentially exceeding 10,000 on weekends. Tours to explore the bay, snorkeling to see coral reefs, speedboat rides, and glass-bottom boat tours in Vinh Hy Bay are all attracting large crowds.
Mr. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, said that the current tourism trend is not only focused on relaxation but also emphasizes experiences, sustainability, and connection. With a rich ecosystem of products ranging from islands and beaches, green resorts, culture, cuisine to modern entertainment, Khanh Hoa is well-equipped to meet the needs of tourists. Khanh Hoa expects to achieve the target of welcoming 18.8 million tourists and generating 77,000 billion VND in tourism revenue in 2026.
