Ca Mau City continues to improve urban order.

Báo Cà MauBáo Cà Mau10/08/2023

Despite local authorities marking designated areas, conducting regular inspections, and encouraging compliance, some vendors still spill onto the street to display their goods, causing significant traffic congestion in the Ward 8 market area.

Accordingly, from the beginning of the year until now, the relevant departments have conducted 714 operations; the People's Committees of communes and wards have launched 250 operations. Through these operations, 282 cases of administrative violations have been penalized, and violations related to urban order, encroachment on sidewalks and roads, etc., have been addressed.

Along Canal 16 (passing through wards 2, 4, and 9), 205 households were found to be encroaching on the canal. 185 cases have been processed and the structures dismantled; the remaining cases are still being addressed through awareness campaigns, persuasion, and enforcement according to regulations.

Also along Canal 16, in Ward 4, there are still 12 cases of encroachment on the drainage system's outlets, and in Ward 9, there are 15 cases that have not been completely resolved, affecting drainage after rain and causing localized flooding at certain times...

After reviewing the actual situation, Ca Mau City directed the continued demolition of illegal constructions and encroachments on the drainage system along Canal 16.

According to the Head of the Urban Management Department of Ca Mau City, in the coming time, they will continue to reorganize market areas, maintain personnel, checkpoints, and surveillance cameras to monitor and handle violations, preventing disorderly trading and encroachment on roads and sidewalks at market locations; rationally arrange and effectively rectify the situation of street vendors on roads and public areas. They will maintain effective campaigns to organize urban order, focusing on managing and organizing sidewalk order and trading order; strictly enforce the display of goods according to sidewalk markings and effectively manage the temporary use of roads and sidewalks.

Currently, an increasing number of trucks selling goods are parked along the roads, particularly on routes such as Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ngo Quyen, and Nguyen Cong Tru, affecting traffic safety and urban order.
