Ho Chi Minh City launches Digital Citizen App

(NLĐO) - The Digital Citizen app is a smart mobile application, a two-way communication channel between the government and citizens with easy "one-touch" interaction.

On November 14th, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee launched the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Application" (referred to as the Digital Citizen App) with the aim of connecting citizens and the government.

Attending the launch ceremony were Politburo member and Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai.

With a synchronized, user-friendly, and easy-to-use application, people in Ho Chi Minh City can access all necessary amenities and connect with the government simply and quickly. The application is not only a digital platform but also a symbol of modernization, looking towards the future of Ho Chi Minh City - a smart, modern, compassionate, and sustainably developed city.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai, along with other delegates, pressed the button to launch the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that the deployment of the Digital Citizen App affirms the city's determination to enhance its digital transformation capacity, aiming to simultaneously implement the Project on developing data applications on population, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation and the city's Digital Transformation Program.

The Digital Citizen app is built on a platform that connects and integrates data from various departments and agencies, ensuring comprehensive security of user data and complying with the regulations in Decree 13/2023 on personal data protection.

Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App

Through the Digital Citizen App, citizens can report incidents, submit feedback and suggestions on issues of concern to them. At the same time, they can closely monitor the progress of the relevant authorities in handling these matters.

Citizens can also access, search for , and use public services quickly and conveniently in many areas relevant to their lives.

From the government's perspective, the Digital Citizen App is an effective channel for recording, managing, and handling real-life events arising in the area, based on transparently provided data.

Through this, the government can also quickly and promptly provide citizens with information about the city's activities; disseminate newly issued policies, regulations, and laws; and post news, announcements, and emergency warnings, etc.

12 key features

A key feature of the Digital Citizen App is that citizens can directly and quickly access the results of how city authorities handle issues and incidents they report through the app.

Citizens log in only once through their Vietnamese citizen electronic identification account (VNeID account) .

Citizens can look up administrative procedures, check administrative records, and track the status of their administrative file processing in various fields.

At the same time, people can evaluate and provide feedback on the services of the administrative procedure-handling agency. This feature will continue to be updated so that people can eventually submit applications online in various fields.

Citizens log in only once using their Vietnamese citizen electronic identification account (VNeID account).

To make it easier for citizens to understand and monitor, the Digital Citizen App will display notifications whenever there are results of complaint resolution, file processing, or new developments in the resolution process; and urgent "hot" announcements from relevant authorities.

In the initial phase (from now until December 31, 2024), the Digital Citizen app offers 12 main feature groups, which are displayed in the DIGITAL CITIZEN section.

This includes a feedback/suggestion feature. This allows citizens to submit feedback/suggestions to the 1022 system regarding issues such as technical infrastructure problems; assists citizens in searching for school information and detailed school addresses; and helps in searching for information about medical facilities such as addresses and operating licenses.

Look up and search for information related to buses; search for housing projects in the area; access personal records, look up administrative procedures, search for administrative files and see the status of administrative file processing in various fields...

In addition to the 12 features above, the Digital Citizen app also provides users with several other features in the MY SERVICES section, such as: Health information, Education , Transportation (which will also provide additional features such as E-commerce, Job and labor information, Social security, and some information security checking tools).

This is where users can add their desired features. The Digital Citizen app will save these features so users can conveniently experience the services they have added.

To install the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app and connect with the city government quickly and conveniently, citizens can search for and download the app on Google Play (for Android) and the App Store (for iOS) under the name "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen".
