On November 14, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee launched the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen Application" (abbreviated as Digital Citizen App) with the aim of connecting citizens and the government.

The launch of the Digital Citizen App is an important milestone in the digital transformation of Ho Chi Minh City.
With a synchronized, friendly and easy-to-use application, Ho Chi Minh City residents can access all necessary utilities as well as connect with the government simply and quickly. The application is not only a digital platform but also a symbol of modernization, towards the future of Ho Chi Minh City - a smart, modern, compassionate and sustainably developed city.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai and delegates pressed the button to launch the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the deployment of the Digital Citizen App affirms the city's determination to improve its digital transformation capacity in parallel with the implementation of the Project on developing applications for population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation and the city's Digital Transformation Program.
The Digital Citizen App is built on a platform that connects and integrates data from departments and branches, with comprehensive user data security, in compliance with the regulations in Decree 13/2023 on personal data protection.

Through the Digital Citizen App, people can report events, send comments and suggestions on issues they are interested in. At the same time, closely monitor the progress of the authorities.
People can also access, look up and use public service utilities quickly and conveniently, in many practical areas of life.
On the government side, the Digital Citizen App is an effective channel to record, manage and handle incidents arising from real life in the area, based on transparently provided data.
Through this, the government can also quickly and promptly provide people with information about the city's activities; propagate newly issued policies, regulations, and laws; post news, announcements, and emergency warnings, etc.
12 Key Features
The highlight of the Digital Citizen App is that people can grasp the results of the city's functional agencies resolving the issues and incidents they report through the Digital Citizen App directly and as quickly as possible.
Citizens log in only once through their Vietnamese citizen electronic identification account (VNeID account) .
People can look up administrative procedures, look up administrative records and grasp the status of administrative record settlement in various fields.
At the same time, it is possible to evaluate and give feedback on the services of the administrative procedure settlement agency. This feature continues to be updated so that people can submit documents online in all fields.
Citizens log in only once through their Vietnamese citizen electronic identification account (VNeID account).
For the convenience of citizens to grasp and observe, the Digital Citizen App will display notifications whenever there are results of handling feedback, resolving records or new developments in the handling process; there are urgent "hot" notifications from authorities.
In the first phase (from now until December 31, 2024), the Digital Citizen App provides 12 main feature groups, displayed in the DIGITAL CITIZEN section.
Including feedback and suggestions. This content helps people send feedback and suggestions to the 1022 system about issues such as technical infrastructure incidents; supports people in looking up school information and detailed school addresses; helps look up information about medical facilities such as addresses and operating licenses.
Look up and search for information related to buses; look up housing projects in the area; access personal records, look up administrative procedures, look up administrative records and grasp the status of handling administrative records in various fields...
In addition to the 12 features above, in the DIGITAL CITIZEN section, the Digital Citizen App also provides users with a number of other features in the MY SERVICES section, such as: Health Information, Education , Traffic (will provide additional features such as E-commerce, Labor employment information, Social Security and a number of information security checking tools).
