The Ho Chi Minh City Talent Promotion Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2024-2025 school year took place on the morning of October 27 on the occasion of the Traditional Learning Promotion Day.

The 1&1 Scholarship has become a very unique name for the scholarship program of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Promoting Education. This is a scholarship awarded to students who have overcome difficulties to study well, supporting them to overcome difficulties in life.

Up to now, the City's Talent Promotion Scholarship has been implemented for 24 years, awarded to more than 2,700 students with a total amount of more than 27.8 billion VND.

The 1&1 Scholarship is also a place to connect previous generations, those who have received scholarships to return and support the students of the next generation.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dang said that he has been supporting the scholarship of the City's Association for Promoting Education for 19 years.

As a former scholarship recipient, he understands that in life, there are times when he encounters difficulties and is helped, and if he has the opportunity, he will return to help others, like a cycle. "My support is nothing compared to their entire lives. Hopefully it is just a very small drop of water that helps you have the motivation to stand firm in the initial difficulties," Dang said.

Pham Quoc Cuong, a first-year student at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City who received this scholarship, said that his family currently only has his father as the main breadwinner, who works as a car mechanic. Cuong's mother has many underlying diseases and is not in good health to work. Therefore, all the burden falls on the father, who has to support Cuong and his brother's education at the same time.

“This scholarship means a lot to me. It helps me cover part of my college expenses and reduces the burden on my father's shoulders," student Pham Quoc Cuong shared.
