Help your mother live a happy and healthy life.

At 93 years old, Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Bay in Binh Minh commune, Bu Dang district, is no longer as agile or sharp-minded as she once was. However, when officers and soldiers from Regiment 719 visited, chatted with her, and offered encouragement, her face lit up with joy and radiance, as if she were welcoming her own family. These images demonstrate that the officers and soldiers of Regiment 719 have been caring for her regularly for a long time, not just a few times. Thanks to their dedicated and thoughtful care, not only has her spirits lifted, but her home, which suffered so much loss and pain from the war, has also become warmer and more welcoming each day.

The Party Committee and Command of Regiment 719 regularly visit and encourage Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Bay.

Mr. Tran Van Son, the biological son of Mrs. Tran Thi Bay, said: "Previously, we lived in Phu Quy commune, Cai Lay district, Tien Giang province, and since 1997, we have lived in Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province. My mother and her family have always received special attention from the Party and State leaders, local Party committees and authorities, as well as the unit where she is stationed. During important national holidays, delegations from the province and district visit, encourage, and give gifts to my mother. In particular, she has been cared for by officers and soldiers of Regiment 719, who regularly visit, give gifts, and provide regular health check-ups, which has kept her in high spirits."

Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Bay lost her husband and eldest son in the resistance war against the US to save the country. This was a tremendous loss for her, so in addition to providing her with lifelong care, Regiment 719 also built her a house of compassion. Along with showing concern, encouragement, care, and regular health check-ups, the officers and soldiers of Regiment 719, together with the local Party committee and government, also demonstrate their personal and unit responsibility towards the spirits of the heroic martyrs through concrete actions. These practical and meaningful acts of humanity are not only a noble responsibility but also educate and raise the awareness of officers, soldiers, and employees, especially the younger generation, about patriotism and national pride.

According to Trinh Cong Long, Secretary of the Party Committee of Binh Minh commune: "To alleviate the mother's grief and loss, during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), the leaders of the province and Bu Dang district have shown concern, encouragement, and visited her. In particular, Regiment 719 has taken on the responsibility of caring for her and built her a house in 2022. Simultaneously, the local Party committee and government regularly send personnel to care for her, and Regiment 719 sends medical staff to visit, examine, and provide medicine monthly."

Education and raising a sense of responsibility among the younger generation.

Lieutenant Ha Phi Hung, Assistant Operations Officer of the Staff Department of Regiment 719, said: "I am very honored to be in the ranks of the army and proud of the achievements and victories of previous generations who shed so much blood so that we could have a peaceful and independent life today. Therefore, I am always very grateful, remember, and feel responsible for encouraging and visiting families who have contributed to the revolution and caring for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers."

In addition to caring for Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Bay, Regiment 719 also carries out many projects and activities to show gratitude and care for families, policy beneficiaries, and those who have contributed to the revolution in the area where it is stationed, as well as establishing various gratitude funds according to the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense and the locality, with a total budget of nearly 200 million VND/year.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Luong, Political Commissar of Regiment 719, stated: "Caring for and supporting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and looking after policy beneficiary families and meritorious individuals in the unit's驻地 (area of deployment) is not only a noble responsibility but also educates the regiment's officers, staff, and workers to always be deeply grateful to the previous generations, those who made great contributions to the cause of national liberation and reunification."
