Camp Blast 2023, themed "Wild Grass Valley," created many exciting and unique activities for children. Participating in the program, the children spent five days engaging in various activities, from experiencing tree planting and recycling to engaging experiments. They gained a more practical understanding of their surroundings and, through this, raised their awareness of protecting a green, clean, and beautiful living environment.

The children participated in tree planting activities on Environment Day.

On the second day, titled "The Shimmering Forest" ( Science Day), activities focused on beneficial and safe science experiments: hands-on experiments related to water, Earth's atmospheric pressure, 3D imaging, etc., aiming to spark a love for science in young children, always encouraging creativity, logical thinking, and the ability to apply science to life in each lesson.

Excited to gain more knowledge and skills, 8-year-old Nguyen Ngoc Diep shared: "I feel very happy to have made many new friends and participated in activities with them such as planting trees (Environment Day), doing experiments, making 3D glasses (Science Day), playing folk games, making hats (Culture - Sports Day)... 10-year-old Bao Chi from Xuan La Primary School expressed: "I participated in the summer camp, where I learned and practiced with my friends and older students, planting trees together, recycling plastic to preserve the green environment..."

The joy of participating in Camp Blast summer camp.

Camp Blast 2023, with the participation of 40 students from Amsterdam High School and over 80 volunteers from high schools and universities, offered activities beyond the two aforementioned areas. In addition to the two main activities, the children also experienced a Culture and Sports Day, where they learned about traditional folk games such as blindfolded tag, hopscotch, and chi chi chanh chanh. With the help of volunteers, the young campers had the opportunity to prepare traditional dishes and learn about the cultural values associated with them. During the Emotional Day, the children were guided and trained in expressing and controlling their emotions, learning how to behave appropriately in real-life situations and express love to their family members.

According to Ngo Chau Anh, head of the Camp Blast organizing committee, this year more than 103 children and their parents participated in the program, including some who had attended summer camps for many years. Furthermore, the majority of volunteers were students who had just taken their entrance exams for grade 10, providing them with a fun experience before entering a new school environment.
