In this remote and windy location, the best time of year for sea travel is usually from April to September, as the weather is calm and the sea is still, making it ideal for passenger transportation by waterway. Located about 120 km southeast of Phan Thiet, the journey to Phu Quy Special Economic Zone by speedboat takes only about two and a half hours…

Upon arriving on the small island, we were immediately struck by the bustling scene at the pier, filled with dozens of stylish, colorful CUXI brand motorbikes. We learned that this is a personal vehicle rental service, readily available to meet the needs of tourists seeking flexible transportation throughout Phu Quy Island.
Despite its small natural area of only 18.02 km² , Phu Quy Island has become a popular destination attracting tourists from all over thanks to its pristine natural landscapes, unique climate, and numerous famous historical and cultural relics. Furthermore, through the promotion of its image through various media channels, the special economic zone of Lam Dong province is becoming even more attractive during the peak beach season. According to recent data, Phu Quy currently has nearly 70 hotels and guesthouses (1,240 beds) and approximately 100 homestays (1,500 beds) offering accommodation services to tourists…

As soon as we settled into our accommodation, we headed straight to the flagpole affirming the sovereignty of our country amidst the vast ocean – a place where most tourists want to take記念 photos when visiting Phu Quy. Next, we also took the opportunity to explore Ganh Hang with its majestic black rock formations nestled in the clear blue water, and then visited Cao Cat Mountain to touch the uniquely shaped cliffs, standing precariously amidst the strong winds… These are all ideal check-in points against the backdrop of the vast sea and sky, bringing a sense of tranquility to visitors as all the worries and pressures of daily life seem to fade away.

Our experience in Phu Quy was even more fulfilling when we had the chance to see firsthand the diverse array of fresh seafood caught naturally by fishermen in this area and enjoy it right on the floating rafts. These included: king crab, lobster, prawns, sea urchins, grouper, and various types of shellfish… even though simply prepared, their fragrant, sweet, and delicious flavors earned praise from everyone. Fortunately visiting the special zone during the beautiful sea season, many tourists didn't miss the opportunity to participate in SUP paddling and snorkeling to admire the coral reefs – a new tourism product of Phu Quy – to fully enjoy themselves in the clear blue waters.
In Phu Quy, we were also introduced to national historical sites and scenic spots that still retain their pristine beauty, such as: An Thanh village (where the god of the South Sea - the Whale God - is worshipped), the temple of Princess Ban Tranh, Linh Quang pagoda, Cam mountain with its majestic lighthouse, and Trieu Duong bay with its dreamy white sand beach…

Before returning to the mainland, I, like many young tourists, had a wonderful morning at Doc Phuot, considered the most beautiful sunrise spot in Phu Quy Special Economic Zone today. The feeling of relaxation, enjoying the cool breeze, and waiting for the moment the sun rises from the East Sea with its sparkling golden rays as a greeting to the new day, invigorated everyone… Perhaps that’s why Phu Quy has left such an unforgettable impression on tourists from all over, inspiring them to keep “packing their bags and going” whenever they have the chance.
