Portrait of a peasant artist
Actor Huu Thach, born in 1971, real name Nguyen Huu Thach, is a native of Vinh Thuan, Kien Giang province. He graduated from the Faculty of Cai Luong Actors, Ho Chi Minh City University of Theater and Cinema. Although he studied Cai Luong, Huu Thach was destined for comedy and entered the cinema with many supporting roles, humorous, enjoyed by viewers.
Coming from the U Minh garden, the farmer's nature seems to have permeated the blood of this actor, and then fate brought him to roles full of gentle and simple farmer qualities. Those roles are: Tu Ech in the movie Dong Que, Hai Lit in the movie "Gia Dinh So Do", Tam Tang in the movie "Ve Que Cuoi Vo", Hai Tia in "Vo Ngua Troi Nam" and most recently, he has the role of Mr. Hai - the main character's older brother in the 52-episode TV series "Bac Ba Phi" currently airing on Quang Nam Radio and Television Station. In the role of "Mr. Hai", Huu Thach attracts attention because of the typical farmer qualities of the Southern region. In addition, with his witty comedic talent, Huu Thach has created a humorous, very farmer style for the character, making Quang viewers excited when watching this movie.
Although Huu Thach is not a famous actor in the film and theater industry, he impresses his colleagues and viewers with his sincerity and friendliness. He lives simply in the middle of Saigon, finding peace in a suburban house.
In recent years, Huu Thach has begun to change his acting style with some roles that are opposite to his personality. Viewers can see another Huu Thach in the role of a fake journalist named Dai Phong that he played in the movie "Sao Miet Vuon" by director Nguyen Hong Chi. That is also the role of Phong - a role that is drunk all day, gambles, and mistreats his wife and children in the movie "Vua Di Va Khoc" by director Vu Ngoc Dang...
The valuable thing about actor Huu Thach, which is highly appreciated by screenwriters and film directors, is that his acting style depends less on acting techniques but on his own ability. Blessed with a farmer's look and a sense of humor on his face, Huu Thach has gradually built his own unique path in acting that is hard to confuse with anyone else...
Through the countryside of Quang Nam…
During his stay in Quang Nam, actor Huu Thach had the opportunity to work with the production team of Quang Nam Radio and Television to produce many interesting programs, related to a number of connecting topics, especially experiences in Quang Nam.
The people of Tra Que vegetable village (Hoi An) were quite surprised when one morning, the actor who is very popular in the movie “Bac Ba Phi” which is being broadcast on Quang Nam Radio and Television Station appeared in their village. With a fashion style typical of the Southern garden, Huu Thach - Mr. Hai seemed to have stepped out of the movie into real life, going to hoe the land to plant vegetables, water, harvest the crops and cook dishes of the people of Quang Nam.
Actor Huu Thach said: “Although this is the first time I have experienced with Quang Nam farmers, I feel like I have returned to my old hometown Vinh Thuan with my parents, siblings, and farmers growing vegetables and rice... Farmers in our country, everywhere, are industrious, hard-working, working day and night to produce rice grains and bundles of vegetables imbued with the soul of the countryside and the land.”
Having experienced Huu Thach, the television staff admired him even more for his ability to grasp issues quickly, immerse himself in the story, and especially the way he treated the farmers of Quang Nam very gently and thoughtfully like family, making us extremely impressed.
When bending down to enter the tunnels in Ky Anh tunnel, Tam Thang, Tam Ky city, actor Huu Thach made a special comparison with Cu Chi tunnel base. According to him, Ky Anh tunnel currently has some very solid sections, in which the command bunker, food bunker and wounded soldiers are still intact, which will be very valuable in terms of history and effective tourism exploitation of the "red address" relic.
"After this trip, I will try to become an information channel, contributing to promoting the image of Quang Nam in general, historical relics such as Ky Anh tunnels, traditional craft villages in particular... so that more people will know about them" - actor Huu Thach shared after his experience at Ky Anh tunnels.
During his stay in Quang Nam, at the invitation of the Editorial Board of Quang Nam Radio and Television Station, actor Huu Thach had a live livestream on the evening of March 12.
