Oil price "frozen": Brent 67.39 USD, WTI 64.56 USD in the midst of market storm
According to data from Oilprice on the morning of June 30, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil price remained at 67.39 USD/barrel, while WTI oil was stable at 64.56 USD/barrel, unchanged from the previous trading session. The sideways movement of oil prices reflects the cautious sentiment of the market, as investors wait for more information on US monetary policy and OPEC+ production plans in the coming time.
Gulf energy markets saw positive signs thanks to the stability in the Middle East following the ceasefire agreement and expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) could ease interest rates. The stock index in Saudi Arabia rose 1.2%, led by major banks such as Al Rajhi and Riyad Bank.
Qatar and Egypt also posted gains, with the indexes rising 0.8% and 0.6%, respectively. Meanwhile, energy stocks such as Saudi Aramco steadied on news that OPEC+ could increase production by 411,000 barrels per day from August to consolidate global market share. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Saudi economy is forecast to grow 3.5% in 2025, up from 3% previously, thanks to large government projects and a bright outlook for the energy sector.
