Gasoline prices have dropped to near 20,000 VND per liter.

(Baohatinh.vn) - Gasoline and diesel prices will decrease by 40-380 VND per liter/kilogram from 3 PM today, following adjustments by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the most common type on the market) decreased by 380 VND, to 20,080 VND per liter. E5 RON 92 also dropped by 210 VND, with a new price of 19,610 VND.

Similarly, oil products also decreased by 40-250 VND per liter/kilogram compared to 7 days ago. Specifically, each liter of diesel and kerosene are now priced at 18,150 VND and 18,640 VND respectively. Mazut is also 40 VND lower per kilogram than the previous period, at 13,390 VND.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that the global oil market over the past seven days has been affected by information related to the Russia-Ukraine peace agreement and the US Federal Reserve's decision to lower interest rates. World fuel prices tended to decrease compared to the previous period, with the average price of RON 95 gasoline falling by 2.4% to $79.9 per barrel; diesel decreased by 1.5%, and fuel oil by 0.4%.

E10 gasoline – a biofuel made by blending 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline – will be widely blended and sold nationwide from June 1, 2026. E5 RON92 gasoline will continue to be used until the end of 2030.

According to a resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee, in 2026 the environmental protection tax on gasoline (excluding ethanol) will remain at 2,000 VND per liter; diesel, fuel oil, and lubricating oil at 1,000 VND per liter. Lubricating grease will be 1,000 VND per kilogram, and kerosene at 600 VND per liter. These rates are similar to those applied in 2025.
