Attendees included: Nguyen Huy Ngoc, Director and Head of the Southern Regional Office of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and Duong Anh Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.
Speaking at the event, Comrade Duong Anh Duc praised the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper and the Saigon Business Association – those who have ignited the flame of filial piety among businesspeople, spreading it throughout the community. The competition is a journey that touches the most sacred things in each person's heart.

The Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Duong Anh Duc, emphasized that cultivating family values – filial piety, compassion, loyalty, and responsibility – is not only a matter for each family, but also a national policy and a foundation for the country to rise strongly in the new era.
Therefore, this competition is not just a communication activity, but has become a bridge connecting hearts, so that each of us realizes that: no matter how busy we are, no matter how successful we are, family is still the most peaceful haven, the source of all success.

Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper, Ly Viet Trung, emphasized that the awards ceremony took place during the Vu Lan season – the season of filial piety – to remind everyone of the age-old principle: Remember the source when drinking water, remember the tree planter when eating fruit.
The awards ceremony is not only a celebration of outstanding works, but also a profound reminder that everyone, regardless of their position, should reflect on and cherish filial piety towards their family, community, and country.

According to Ms. Ly Viet Trung, each entry is a vivid film, capturing the silent sacrifices of parents, the tears of longing from children far from home, or moments of joyful family reunions...
After its launch, the competition attracted hundreds of participants. The judging panel selected 12 outstanding entries to award prizes. Specifically, there was 1 Special Prize worth 20 million VND; 1 First Prize worth 15 million VND; 2 Second Prizes, each worth 10 million VND; 3 Third Prizes, each worth 5 million VND; and 5 Consolation Prizes, each worth 3 million VND.

In addition, the organizers also awarded the "Most Popular Article" prize, worth 1 million VND, based on views, likes, and shares.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Newspaper and the Saigon Business Association launched the second "Businesspeople and Filial Piety and Family" writing contest. Entries will be accepted from October 20, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
Each entry must be between 1,200 and 2,000 words, typed in Vietnamese. The organizing committee reserves the right to adjust the number of prizes to suit the actual number of entries and will make the final decision on the winning entries.

Entries should be sent to the email address: doanhnhanvachuhieu@baophunu.org.vn. The awards ceremony for the second competition is tentatively scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnamese Family Day, June 28, 2026.
