When asked about the purpose of this project, photographer Nguyen Thanh Tung ( smiling ) replied: "My father and I wanted to do something meaningful to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country."
The photo book and exhibition, which my father and I created in Ho Chi Minh City over the past year, is titled Saigon 365 .
The project was edited by photographer Duong Minh Long, and the book includes quotes about the city from writers who have written about Saigon, such as journalist Cu Mai Cong, journalist Pham Cong Luan, architect Dam Ha Phu, etc.
Furthermore, this Saigon 365 project is also a birthday gift for the mother of my two sons, teacher Huynh Thong Nhat, who was born on April 30, 1975."

It can be said that young author Bill Nguyen, in his book Saigon 18, has brought forth a contrast of light, color, large and small shapes, clarity and blurriness, and the human condition…
As for photographer Nguyen Thanh Tung, who was formerly a photojournalist for the Saigon Times, his photos are journalistic in nature, easily suited to the street style, capturing the right moment without staging.
Saigon Night, Saigon Street, Saigon Market presents artistic works depicting ancient and modern architecture, nighttime rains, the famous market flooded with rain, the night economy , the livelihoods of the people, the Chinese quarter, and the Western quarter.
The book "Saigon Food" alone is filled with countless images that make viewers crave Saigon's popular street food: Saigon broken rice, steamed rice rolls, savory pancakes, banh mi, banh canh, hu tieu, sweet soups, sticky rice, and seafood hot pot.
At 5:30 PM on March 22nd, also at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, a tall show titled "The Art of Storytelling Through the Lens" will be held for the public by two authors.
The guests included photographer Duong Minh Long, photographer Nguyen Xuan Khanh, and doctor and photography lecturer Vu Hai Son.
The Saigon 365 project will be holding a photo tour to universities in Ho Chi Minh City until April 30th, the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the country.
