Exhibition of documentary and artistic photos "Land and People of Vinh Linh"

This morning, August 20, in Vinh Linh district, the Quang Tri Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Vinh Linh District People's Committee to organize an exhibition of documentary and artistic photos with the theme: "Land and People of Vinh Linh" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh Traditional Day August 25 (1954 - 2024). The documentary and artistic photo exhibition “Land and People of Vinh Linh” aims to widely introduce collected and composed images about important historical and political milestones, traditional values, economy, culture, society, national defense and security of Vinh Linh district.

During the war, Vinh Linh overcame countless hardships and dangers to gain great victories in combat, production and support for the South; and was honored to receive many noble awards from the Party Central Committee, the Government and President Ho. In particular, Vinh Linh was twice awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

On January 1, 1967, Uncle Ho signed a decision to confer the title of “Heroic Vinh Linh” on the region for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement against the US to save the country. Uncle Ho also sent eight letters of praise to the army and people of Vinh Linh and Con Co Island. During the renovation period, Vinh Linh was determined to rebuild its homeland.

Up to now, Vinh Linh has taken on a new look, youthful, energetic, full of aspirations and development in all fields. In 2011, Vinh Linh district was awarded the title of Labor Hero in the renovation period by the State.

The exhibition introduced 140 documentary and artistic photos with the theme: "Land and people of Vinh Linh". The displayed images have tight content and layout, ensuring historical, scientific, aesthetic, artistic qualities and are consistent with the exhibition theme in the traditional historical process, in the process of construction, innovation and development in all fields, meeting the increasingly high and diverse requirements for truth, goodness and beauty of the people and cadres of Vinh Linh district.

Through documentary and artistic photography, the public can witness and come into contact with many works with distinct regional identities, experience and penetrate the land of Vinh Linh, which is changing and developing every day.

Especially the photographic works conveying the context and characters from the moment of pressing the shutter, expressing the authenticity, liveliness and natural breath of life. There are photographic works that reach artistic value with highly evocative language.

Many photos reflect the reality of life with a sense of subtle beauty, new discoveries and creativity about the land and people of Vinh Linh today...

Thereby, contributing to introducing and promoting the cultural traditions and images of Vinh Linh which are being renewed and developed day by day.

The exhibition takes place from August 20-26, 2024 at Vinh Linh District Gymnasium and Sports Training Center.
