This morning, August 20th, in Vinh Linh district, the Quang Tri Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, in coordination with the Vinh Linh District People's Committee, organized an exhibition of documentary and artistic photographs with the theme: "Land and People of Vinh Linh" to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh's Traditional Day on August 25th (1954 - 2024). The documentary and art photography exhibition "Land and People of Vinh Linh" aims to widely introduce collected and created images about important historical and political milestones, traditional values, economy, culture, society, national defense, and security of Vinh Linh district.
During the war, Vinh Linh overcame countless hardships and dangers to achieve great victories in combat, production, and support for the South; it was honored to receive many high honors from the Central Party Committee, the Government , and President Ho Chi Minh. In particular, Vinh Linh was twice awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
On January 1, 1967, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decision bestowing the title of "Heroic Vinh Linh" upon the area for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement against the US and for national salvation. President Ho Chi Minh also sent eight letters of praise to the military and people of Vinh Linh and Con Co Island. During the period of reform, Vinh Linh is determined to rebuild its homeland.
Today, Vinh Linh has taken on a new, youthful, vibrant, and ambitious appearance, developing in all fields. In 2011, Vinh Linh district was awarded the title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period by the State.

The exhibition showcased 140 documentary and artistic photographs on the theme: "The Land and People of Vinh Linh". The exhibited images have a coherent content and composition, ensuring historical accuracy, scientific rigor, aesthetic appeal, artistic quality, and suitability to the exhibition's theme in the process of historical tradition, in the construction, innovation, and development in all fields, meeting the increasingly high and diverse demands for truth, goodness, and beauty of the people and officials of Vinh Linh district.
Through documentary and artistic photographs, the public can witness and engage with many works that clearly reflect the regional identity, and experience and immerse themselves in the Vinh Linh region, which is changing and developing day by day.
In particular, photographic works that convey the setting and characters captured in a single moment demonstrate authenticity, vibrancy, and the natural breath of life. Some photographic works achieve artistic value with a highly evocative language.
Many of the photographs reflect the realities of life through a subtle sense of beauty, new discoveries, and creative interpretations of the land and people of Vinh Linh today...
This contributes to introducing and promoting the cultural traditions and image of Vinh Linh, which is constantly innovating and developing.
The exhibition will take place from August 20-26, 2024 at the Vinh Linh District Sports Training Center.
