General Phan Van Giang, member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defense, sent a letter of commendation and encouragement to the officers, staff, and soldiers of the unit.
The ceremony was attended by: Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh - Commander of the 34th Army Corps; Major General Le Minh Quang - Political Commissar of the 34th Army Corps; leaders of the Engineering Corps; representatives of leaders of agencies and units under the 34th Army Corps; and generations of officers and soldiers of the 7th Engineering Brigade.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Colonel Dinh Quang Thai, Commander of the 7th Engineering Brigade, affirmed: Established during the fierce phase of the resistance war against the US, the unit quickly matured, undertaking many combat and mobility support tasks on important battlefields such as the Plain of Jars-Xieng Khouang (Upper Laos), Tri-Thien-Hue, the Central Highlands, and the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
Throughout the fighting, road-clearing, mine-clearing, and traffic management efforts, the officers and soldiers of the Brigade consistently maintained their unwavering determination to win, demonstrating resilience, creativity, and solidarity.

In recognition of its outstanding achievements and contributions in combat, combat support, national defense, and international missions, the 7th Engineering Brigade has been honored three times by the Party and State with the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces; and has been awarded 26 Military Merit Orders and 8 Combat Merit Orders of various classes.
Many collectives and individuals were honored as Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; and were awarded the Angkor Medal by the Cambodian State.
During the period of national renewal and development, the 7th Engineering Brigade has consistently excelled in training and combat readiness; it is the core force of the 34th Army Corps in disaster prevention and mitigation, search and rescue, bomb and mine clearance, and the construction of national defense projects.
Officers and soldiers of the Brigade actively carry out effective civilian outreach work, participate in building a strong political foundation, and contribute to maintaining security and order in the strategic Central Highlands region.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the President of Vietnam, the leaders of the 34th Army Corps awarded the Third-Class Order of National Defense to the 7th Engineering Brigade for its outstanding and exceptional achievements in training, combat readiness, search and rescue operations, and assisting the people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, contributing to building a strong army, consolidating national defense, and protecting the Fatherland.
In his congratulatory remarks, Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh, Commander of the 34th Army Corps, praised the spirit of solidarity, the will to overcome difficulties, and the outstanding efforts of the officers and soldiers of the 7th Brigade.

At the same time, the unit is required to continue to thoroughly understand the resolutions and directives of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and Party committees at all levels; improve the quality of training according to the motto "basic, practical, and solid"; flexibly apply the "3 viewpoints, 8 principles, and 6 combinations," and effectively implement the "3 substantive aspects"; prioritize comprehensive, in-depth, and realistic combat training; maintain regular discipline, proactively respond to complex situations; and uphold the tradition of "Determined to Win - Creative - Self-Reliance - Unity - Discipline" in carrying out all tasks.
Building upon the 60-year tradition of development, combat, and growth, the officers and soldiers of the 7th Engineering Brigade continue to unite, train, and constantly improve their political acumen and professional skills, ready to accept and excellently fulfill all tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, the Army, and the people.
