Steadfastly overcoming difficulties from the very beginning

In the early days of its establishment, HC-KT Warehouse 789 operated in a scattered area, with harsh climatic conditions, and many of its warehouses and barracks had deteriorated, while the staffing and expertise of the force were unbalanced. Many officers and soldiers took on tasks in the context of “new people, new positions”, with a heavy workload, requiring quick stabilization of the organization, understanding of the area and establishing a work routine.

Realizing the strategic position of the Warehouse in the HC-KT assurance system of the 34th Corps, the head of the HC-KT Department regularly pays close attention to leadership and direction; creating conditions for the unit to overcome difficulties and build a regular foundation right from the start. From scattered warehouse areas, rough internal roads, to the system of old warehouses, barracks, and offices, all are gradually consolidated and renovated with the sense of responsibility and initiative of the officers and soldiers of the entire unit.

As a specialized unit of the HC-KT Department of the 34th Corps, HC-KT Warehouse 789 in its first year of operation received, preserved, maintained, sealed and issued a huge amount of material. In 2025 alone, the unit received and issued hundreds of tons of ammunition and weapons; recovered thousands of guns, liquidated and processed more than 170 tons of level 5 ammunition ensuring the correct principles and absolute safety.

Along with technical tasks, logistics work is regularly carried out carefully: The kitchen ensures that it meets standards, the health of the soldiers reaches 99.37%; the barracks are renovated to over 9,200m²; more than 131ha of forest, nearly 40ha of industrial trees and many works serving daily life are developed and cared for. The management of national defense land, assets, and gasoline is strictly maintained, without loss or encroachment. These results have consolidated the position of the Warehouse as an important "blood vessel" in ensuring the HC-KT of the Corps.

In addition, HC-KT Warehouse 789 strictly maintains the order of command and combat readiness, practices combat plans, fire prevention and fighting, natural disaster prevention and fighting, and warehouse protection. In 2025, the unit organized 24 sub-warehouse level exercises and 12 warehouse level exercises; coordinated with the Gia Lai province fire prevention and fighting police force to practice the plan to protect the warehouse absolutely safely. Thanks to that, the entire warehouse is always in a state of high combat readiness, avoiding passivity and surprise; absolute safety for people, weapons, technical equipment and barracks, a result of important significance for the newly established unit.

Spirit for the people

Despite the heavy professional work, the HC-KT 789 Warehouse still performed well in the mass mobilization work, contributing to stabilizing the local situation where it was stationed. During the year, the unit participated in eliminating 14 temporary houses to help poor households in Ia Phi and Ia Hrung communes, Gia Lai province; supported the construction of 5 comrades' houses; sent 27 officers and soldiers to join the HC-KT Department's team to carry out the task of helping people in Tuy Phuoc commune, Gia Lai province build 7 new houses in the "Quang Trung Campaign" to soon stabilize the lives of households affected by storms and floods. Giving policy gifts, taking care of families in difficulty; at the same time coordinating with localities to carry out many social security tasks. These activities have strengthened the military-civilian relationship, creating a solid position of people's hearts in the strategic area of ​​the Central Highlands.

Looking back on a year of establishment, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Quoc Tu, Head of the HC-KT Warehouse 789 affirmed: “Today's results are an important foundation for Warehouse 789 to continue to develop. We are determined to uphold the motto "Responsible - timely - regular - safe"; perform well the task of combat readiness; promote digital transformation in HC-KT work; excellently complete the targets of preservation, maintenance, storage, and distribution of materials; at the same time continue to build a strong and clean Party organization, a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and typical".

In addition to regular tasks, in 2025, the Warehouse also researched and built a unit logo with symbolic meaning about tradition, functions and tasks; at the same time, proposed the traditional golden words "Responsibility - Timeliness - Regularity - Safety", which are the core values ​​that shape the working style and service spirit of HC-KT soldiers.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of its establishment, the officers and soldiers of the HC-KT Warehouse 789 are proud of the journey they have gone through, despite many difficulties, but always shining with a sense of responsibility and will to rise up. With the regular attention and direction of the HC-KT Department and the solidarity in the entire Warehouse, the unit is determined to continue to develop strongly, building the HC-KT Warehouse 789 to become a bright spot in terms of discipline, safety and regularity./.
