Spreading many practical models

The 34th Corps was established on December 10, 2024, on the basis of merging the 3rd and 4th Corps. Since then, the movements and activities of the Youth Union have always been maintained in order, going into depth, creating an effective training environment for youth union members. Many models and programs have proven their effectiveness with convincing numbers.

Typically, the model “Saving for tomorrow’s career” has helped union members accumulate more than 22.3 billion VND, becoming the initial capital for soldiers to start their careers after being discharged from the army. The program “100 VND House” has built 3 houses with a total value of 240 million VND, mobilizing 600 working days to help comrades with housing difficulties.

Captain So Huong Xuan Anh - Mass Mobilization Assistant of the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade (34th Corps) said: The Brigade has concretized the instructions of the Corps ' Political Department through unit and inter-branch activities to thoroughly understand and mobilize union members to participate in the savings model.

Currently, 100% of union members have registered for appropriate savings levels; unit commanders make lists, the finance department receives and deposits savings for each comrade, ensuring publicity and transparency. The vanguard spirit of the 34th Corps' youth is also demonstrated in the movement "The Army Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings".

Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hao - Youth Assistant of the Mass Affairs Department (Political Department of the Army Corps) said: Many models have attracted a large number of young union members to participate such as: "Youth tree garden", "Building a regular, bright-green-clean-beautiful barracks", spring flower garden competitions...

The units have built and repaired 268 youth works with a total cost of 981 million VND; planted 5,600 trees to welcome major events; renewed 46 flower bridges, planted more than 5,100 flower pots with a total value of 834.6 million VND, contributing to building an increasingly spacious barracks landscape.

Along with emulation in labor, the Youth Union of Army Corps 34 is also a pioneer in learning, innovation and digital transformation. Responding to the movement "Building a learning society, promoting lifelong learning" and "Digital literacy for all", the Youth Union members actively apply technology, use smart devices, and exploit artificial intelligence to serve their tasks.

From there, many new models were formed such as "Digital Support Team", "Digital Study Hour", "Digital Learning Friends"... to help improve self-study capacity, creating a class of young, dynamic soldiers who master technology.

Volunteer for the community

The spirit of volunteering for the community has always been a prominent mark in the journey of dedication of the Youth Union members of the 34th Army Corps. In addition to training and combat readiness tasks, the Youth Union members also take the lead in supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters; participating in the programs "Joining hands to build new rural areas" and "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses".

Over the past year, the Corps' Youth Union has organized 236 "Volunteer Saturdays" and "Green Sundays" with nearly 20,000 union members participating; mobilizing 21,417 working days to build and repair 207 temporary houses, contributing practically to improving people's lives.

In mass mobilization work, the spirit of volunteerism is clearly demonstrated in each activity of the Youth Union. According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Hao, 100% of Youth Union bases maintain twinning relations with the localities where the units are stationed; coordinate the care and renovation of 41 cemeteries and martyr memorial houses with the participation of nearly 3,700 Youth Union members.

In particular, hundreds of officers and soldiers volunteered to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, helping people in affected areas to quickly stabilize their lives and restore production. Corporal Nguyen Cao Cuong (Regiment 48, Division 320) shared: "The movements and models of the Union help us practice discipline, solidarity and thrift, creating motivation for each soldier to constantly strive."

At the conference summarizing the mass work since the establishment of the 34th Army Corps, Major General Nguyen Tran Long - Deputy Political Commissar of the Army Corps - emphasized: The work of the Youth Union has clearly changed, achieving comprehensive results. Youth movements always adhere to the core political tasks, increasingly go into depth and bring practical results.

The movements, campaigns and models are deployed synchronously to create a favorable environment for union members to promote dynamism, creativity, striving, dedication and maturity.

Besides, the coordination and twinning activities with the local youth union have contributed to strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people, spreading the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.
