On December 19, Lam Dong will start construction of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project.

Lam Dong province has met and set a date to hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project on December 19.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai chaired the meeting on the morning of December 3.

On December 3, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to grasp information about the plan to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway.

The Tan Phu ( Dong Nai ) - Bao Loc (Lam Dong) expressway project was approved by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in June 2025.

This is a group A project, grade I road standard, design speed 80 km/h, implemented in the form of public-private partnership (PPP). The route is about 66km long, including about 12km in Dong Nai and nearly 54km in Lam Dong.

Leaders of Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 reported on the conditions and plan to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project.

On December 1, the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 selected Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. as the investor to implement the Tan Phu - Bao Loc expressway project. The total investment is 14,475 billion VND, the expected construction period is 25 months, completed on December 31, 2027 and toll collection is 23 years and 9 months.

It is expected that from December 3 to 9, the parties will negotiate and discuss the contract. On December 10, the units will sign the contract at the Office of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

Construction Department leaders give comments on preparation conditions for the groundbreaking ceremony

The Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 has prepared the basic conditions for the groundbreaking ceremony. Regarding the location, the area expected to start construction is at the intersection of the expressway with DT.721 road in Da Huoai commune, Lam Dong province. This is a convenient traffic location and is public land managed by the locality, has been marked and the site has been handed over.

Leaders of Da Huoai Commune People's Committee reported on the actual situation of the area where the event is planned to be held.

Currently, the Management Board of Construction Investment Project No. 1 has requested the design consultant to organize a construction survey and prepare a technical design document for the intersection area with DT.721 road. The Board has drafted a plan to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan, as a basis for relevant departments and branches to organize and implement.

Representatives of the Provincial Police discussed conditions to ensure security and order at the ceremony.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches and localities reported and recommended that the Provincial People's Committee assign units and localities to complete documents, procedures and sites to organize the groundbreaking ceremony.

Units, according to their functions and tasks, develop plans to ensure security, order and safety throughout the event.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested to basically complete the preparation work before December 10, 2025.

According to Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai, Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway is a national key project, of great significance to Lam Dong in particular and the whole country in general. The Provincial People's Committee agreed on the time of December 19, 2025 and the location of the groundbreaking ceremony.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant units to carefully prepare the location, site and specific conditions for the Groundbreaking Ceremony such as: script, program content, invitations, logistics... The province requested to organize the Groundbreaking Ceremony solemnly, promote the purpose, meaning and ensure security and safety.

Faced with the urgent task progress requirement, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned agencies and units to focus on implementing specific assigned tasks, ensuring quality and progress as required. The work contents must be basically completed before December 10, 2025.

Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway is a road project expected to create new development momentum for Lam Dong, Dong Nai and the region. The project contributes to completing the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway axis, shortening travel time and increasing connectivity with economic centers in the South.
