Promoting the strength of the entire people to protect security and order in Ninh Gia

Ninh Gia commune self-management force prepares to patrol and ensure security and order in the area.

Ninh Gia commune has a convenient traffic system when National Highway 20 and National Highway 28B pass through. In the area, there is the national project of Dai Ninh Hydroelectric Reservoir and quite favorable natural conditions, creating favorable conditions for socio -economic development. Besides the above advantages and development potential, the locality also faces challenges in ensuring security and order, especially when entering the peak of the annual coffee harvest season, the time when the risk of theft of agricultural products increases, seasonal workers from other places flock in, the residential situation is complicated and a part of the people in ethnic minority areas still have difficulties.

Recognizing the local characteristics and responding to the peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes during the 2025 coffee crop season, Ninh Gia Commune Police simultaneously organized a launching ceremony to deploy the "Self-management patrol team" model in 9 villages in the area on the evening of November 23, 2025. Immediately after the launching ceremony, the teams quickly started patrolling key routes, areas with potential security and order problems, and coffee plantations in the harvest season. This activity quickly received the consensus and support of the people, spreading the spirit of "Self-prevention, self-management, self-protection" in the community.

The "Self-governing patrol team" model is considered a suitable solution for local conditions. Ninh Gia has a natural area of over 14,382 hectares, a dispersed population with 9 villages and over 13,800 people, of which ethnic minorities from the Central Highlands account for 18% and 48% of the population is religious. The large area and thin grassroots police force make security control difficult, especially in villages far from the commune center. Therefore, the formation of self-governing mass forces in villages and hamlets not only strengthens the chain of crime prevention but also creates closeness and effectiveness in grasping the situation at the grassroots level.

During the peak period of ensuring security and order during the coffee crop season, the commune police have deployed many synchronous solutions: coordinating closed patrols at night; strengthening residence checks, detecting outsiders who come but do not declare their temporary residence, especially seasonal workers; preventing and stopping theft of agricultural products and consumption of coffee of unknown origin; reviewing and managing suspicious subjects; at the same time, propagating to people to raise vigilance, actively providing information and denouncing crimes.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Phuoc - Head of Ninh Gia Commune Police: "Putting the "Self-management patrol team" model into operation is a key solution to arouse and maximize the strength of the entire population in the work of protecting security and order. We believe that, with the synchronous participation of 9 "Self-management patrol teams" in the villages, the spirit of self-prevention - self-management - self-protection will be strongly spread, contributing to effectively preventing crime and ensuring absolute safety for the upcoming coffee crop, building Ninh Gia commune to be more and more peaceful and developed".

In reality, models of mobilizing people's strength in protecting security and order are only effective when they are organized systematically, have clear operating regulations, are closely guided by the police force and have the consensus of the people. For Ninh Gia, the simultaneous launch of the "Self-management patrol team" model in 9 villages is not only a temporary solution to serve the coffee crop season but also lays the foundation for building a sustainable self-management lifestyle, strengthening community ties, raising awareness of law enforcement, and consolidating people's trust in the government and the grassroots police force.

This model is expected to become a bright spot in the movement of the People to protect the security of the Fatherland, in line with the policy of promoting the role of the People in building a people's security posture, especially in mountainous areas such as Ninh Gia.
