At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and leaders of several central ministries, branches and Lam Dong province performed the ceremony to start the construction of new houses and presented symbolic support plaques to 4 families. These are 4 families in D'Ran commune, including Mr. and Mrs. Tran Van Phu, Nguyen Van Tho, Le Thi Thu Trang and Nguyen Cong Dinh who received support to build new houses. These are the households that suffered the most damage in the historic flood on November 19.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi presented 10 gifts to households severely damaged by floods in D'Ran commune; visited and encouraged people to overcome difficulties, soon stabilize their lives and restore production.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi stated that the timely attention of the Party, State and community leaders has created great motivation for people to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives soon. Immediately after the flood, Lam Dong province urgently deployed the work of overcoming the consequences, especially building and repairing houses for households to soon have stable housing. He asked departments, branches and construction units to enhance their responsibility in committing to ensuring the progress and quality of the project; hoping that the military and police forces will continue to support the construction and repair of houses for people. With the spirit of rapid participation and the attention of the Party and State, Lam Dong strives to complete new houses for collapsed and completely collapsed households before January 15, 2026 and complete the repair of damaged houses before December 20, 2025.
The recent floods in Lam Dong caused 23 houses in Lam Dong to collapse, fall down, and be completely washed away, requiring the rebuilding of new houses; 206 houses were damaged and needed to be repaired.
