At the meeting, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee reported on the damage to the locality after the floods from November 16. According to statistics, many key traffic routes in the province were damaged and blocked due to landslides, 23 houses collapsed, 206 houses were damaged, and more than 4,200 hectares of crops were damaged. In response to the floods, the province mobilized "4 on-site" forces to rescue, evacuate people and open temporary roads.

After the damage caused by floods, Lam Dong province has immediately distributed 500 billion VND and 1,000 tons of rice from the Central Government to the people. Up to now, the Prenn and Mimosa passes have been cleared and landslides are being handled and repaired, expected to be completed in December 2025. Lam Dong province is focusing on implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign", striving to speed up the repair of damaged houses and rebuild collapsed houses as soon as possible; at the same time, reviewing high-risk areas, supporting production recovery and stabilizing people's lives.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged and commended the efforts and sense of responsibility of Lam Dong province, the military forces, the police and organizations in the province's political system for strictly following the Prime Minister's instructions; proactively, promptly and actively responding to and preventing natural disasters. There were times when the water levels at the dams were alarming and very complicated, but Lam Dong proactively regulated and minimized damage.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that Lam Dong province continue to review and ensure absolute security for people's lives, especially food, water, and medicine, so that no one is in need. At the same time, the province should urgently repair infrastructure, build houses, and restore production so that people can celebrate Tet in a stable and peaceful manner; mobilize military, police, and militia forces and promote solidarity in the community to support each other. Localities should review books and school supplies so that no student has to miss school due to lack of supplies; strengthen environmental treatment, health care, and disease prevention.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that, based on the above reality, the construction of houses for people who collapsed after floods in Lam Dong province needs to be completed earlier than the Prime Minister's direction in December 2025. New houses must be completed by January 15, 2016 at the latest. The Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and Military Region 7 continue to support, having done well in the past, and need to continue to do even better now. Ministries and branches, especially the Ministry of Construction, continue to urgently repair landslide-affected roads and passes, bringing life activities back to normal. After the floods, Lam Dong province needs to review the overall work of natural disaster prevention and avoidance, mark flood markers, ensure that no constructions obstruct flood drainage, and proactively develop response scenarios due to complicated weather developments...
