First time organizing TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 in open space

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 takes place at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hanoi from December 12 to 14, 2025.

Mr. Hoang Minh, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, said: TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 takes place at a particularly meaningful time when the whole country is preparing to summarize and evaluate the results after one year of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and national digital transformation. In particular, creative startups are identified as an important content in the country's development orientation in the new period.

In 2025, the Government will focus on building and perfecting institutions and policies in the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Many laws and legal documents have been built and promulgated in a very short time, such as: Law on Science , Technology and Innovation; Law on Digital Technology Industry; Decree No. 264/2025/ND-CP on National Venture Capital Fund and local venture capital funds; Decree No. 268/2025/ND-CP on recognizing innovation centers, supporting creative startups; recognizing creative individuals and startups; network infrastructure and creative startup ecosystem, in order to create a more favorable legal corridor for creative startup investment.

Along with that, the Government also directed to promote the spirit of creative entrepreneurship with the consistent ideology, which is: Creative entrepreneurship is the cause of all people; entrepreneurship is based on technology, innovation and digital transformation; entrepreneurship creates breakthroughs for economic growth and opens up creative cultural space for all people; strongly arouses and widely spreads the spirit of entrepreneurship, accepting risks, tolerance of failure, and culture of innovation among all people and society, considering this a central driving force for the rapid and sustainable development of the country to form a digital, scientific and technological nation.

With that spirit, TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is implemented in an open space model, creating conditions for people to directly access and experience new technology products and modern business models. Thereby strongly spreading the spirit of creative startups, contributing to promoting the process of building Vietnam into a creative startup nation.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is organized with many innovations to enhance openness, connectivity and have effective impact on the innovation ecosystem.

This year, TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 focuses on affirming the role of state management through announcing new policies, updating ecosystem data and strongly promoting the public-private partnership model and investment market for innovation.

The highlight of TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is the transformation of the organization method from the “hall event” model to “open space event”. Accordingly, TECHFEST 2025 takes place in the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street area (Hanoi), creating conditions for people to directly access new technologies, innovative business models and startup support services.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 also focuses on professional activities such as policy announcements, investment deal connections, market solutions and spreading the message about the “One Person Business” model. At the same time, TECHFEST 2025 also increases the presence of experts, speakers, investment funds and global organizations in a series of specialized seminars, aiming for an open, modern and integrated TECHFEST.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is expected to attract more than 60,000 direct and online participants, from corporations, startups, investment funds, support organizations, technology incubators, research institutes, universities, along with representatives of typical businesses, corporations, scientists, women, youth, seniors starting a business and delegates from the domestic and 6 international innovation startup ecosystems, including: Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, North America, Europe.

Along with the Opening Ceremony and the National Policy Forum, at TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 there will be more than 10 international seminars, professional talks, technology demonstrations and experiences, and more than 20 events promoting investment connections and business cooperation between domestic and international partners.

In particular, the National Policy Forum and International Cooperation on Investment in Innovative Startups creates a space for national and local breakthrough policy dialogue, promoting venture capital for innovative startups, economic growth and attracting domestic and international investment. Comments and assessments of international experts on the public-private partnership model in venture capital for innovative startups to address challenges in dual transformation and smart cities, recommendations for national and local policy development in the direction of developing the venture capital market in Vietnam.

The final round of the National Innovative Startup Talent Search Competition 2025 aims to search, support and honor typical innovative startups of Vietnamese people at home and abroad, pioneering units applying science, technology and innovation to solve challenges of businesses and society.

The 2025 Finals will gather the Top 10 best teams nationwide, selected from hundreds of applications through rigorous evaluation rounds and fierce competition.
