Thao Uyen has a particularly difficult situation: her father died early, her mother is seriously ill; the family's finances and her education depend solely on her grandmother's noodle stall. The burden is compounded when her grandmother and mother are forced to send Uyen's 5-year-old sister to the temple because they can no longer care for her.

Currently, Uyen’s mother’s condition is getting worse and worse, but the family cannot afford treatment. The fear of losing a loved one and having to drop out of school always weighs heavily on the little student as her grandmother gets weaker and weaker.
