Understanding this advantage, Bac Kan Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company (Duc Xuan Ward) has cooperated with people to grow turmeric naturally in the mountainous areas of Nghien Loan, Cho Don, Bach Thong, Ba Be, Phong Quang, etc.

Turmeric plants grown naturally for over two years produce large, mature tubers with high essence content. Many studies have shown that turmeric grown in this area has a curcumin content that is superior to that of many other regions.

Mrs. Ban Thi Nuong, Ban Chieng village, Phong Quang commune, shared: My family takes advantage of the vacant land under the forest canopy to grow turmeric. The plant is easy to care for, almost pest-free, no pesticides are used, so it is very clean. Plant it once, let the plant grow naturally, and harvest it when the season comes.

According to local estimates, each hectare of turmeric yields about 20 tons of tubers during harvest. With an average price of 5,000 - 7,000 VND/kg, local people can earn from 100 - 140 million VND/ha/crop. Thanks to the stable income, local people call turmeric the "gold-bearing tree" on the mountain.

The entire process uses clean water, and the products after production are strictly tested for physical, chemical, and microbiological parameters. Each batch is re-tested before packaging to ensure the highest quality.

On October 3, 2025, Bac Kan Turmeric was recognized for the second time by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a “National Outstanding Rural Industrial Product”, continuing to affirm its brand value. Previously, the product was also certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as a “Regional Outstanding Rural Industrial Product”.

Not only turmeric, Bac Kan Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company also produces turmeric starch, black turmeric starch, sliced turmeric for export, black turmeric powder, sliced ginger, ginger powder, ginger starch... On average, each year, the Company produces about 600 tons of processed agricultural products of all kinds.

The Company is certified as an ecological product supplier by Control Union EU and USDA Organic USA; meets food hygiene and safety standards and other international quality certifications.
