With the goal of realizing the plan, The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has just signed a decision approving the bidding documents for selecting investors to implement two projects: the Southeast Dung Quat New Urban Area – South and North, with a total scale of nearly 2,700 hectares and a total investment of nearly 55,000 billion VND for both projects. The two aforementioned new urban area projects are included in the 1/2000 scale zoning plan for the Southeast Dung Quat urban and service area, which was approved and announced by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee in January 2025. By early July 2025, the Prime Minister had also issued decisions approving the investment policy for these two projects.
Dung Quat – Vietnam's pioneering coastal economic zone – is currently a hub for heavy industry, petrochemicals, and port logistics. With a strategic orientation to expand into a major urban-service-industrial complex in the Central region, Quang Ngai province is actively inviting strategic investors for two key urban projects. These are expected to be significant catalysts, creating new growth momentum and boosting the development of Quang Ngai province.
The presence of new urban and service projects helps to complete the infrastructure, creating a widespread impact and contributing to accelerating the economic restructuring of Quang Ngai. Dung Quat is writing a new chapter in its development journey. It is not only an industrial production center but also an ideal, modern destination where urban values are intertwined with a dynamic industrial lifestyle.
