In his opening speech, journalist Nguyen Minh Duc, Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, emphasized that the photo exhibition “Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd – Continuing the heroic history” is a meaningful activity to widely propagate and educate about the stature and significance of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

This is also an opportunity for each of us to review the tradition of ardent patriotism, the spirit of great national unity, the desire for peace , independence and freedom; to express deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed their blood for national independence and the happiness of the people. At the same time, this activity contributes to arousing and fostering the people's trust and pride in the Party, the State and the cause of national renewal, bringing the country into a new era - an era of stable development and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.

“Through the exhibition, Hanoi Moi Newspaper hopes to bring to the public, especially the young generation, authentic and profound experiences, so that from the pride of the past, we have more faith, determination and aspiration to contribute to the cause of building and developing the capital and the country to become increasingly rich, civilized and modern,” emphasized journalist Nguyen Minh Duc.

The photo exhibition “Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd – Continuing the heroic history” took place at the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Headquarters, which is located next to Hoan Kiem Lake. This is not only a famous “check-in” spot in the capital, but it is also on the journey to many historical sites associated with the revolutionary days 80 years ago. That is the August Revolution Square - where the historic rally of the people of the capital took place on August 19, 1945, starting the General Uprising to seize power across the country. That is the House No. 48 Hang Ngang - where Uncle Ho drafted the Declaration of Independence.
