In his opening remarks, journalist Nguyen Minh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper, emphasized that the photo exhibition "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd – Continuing the Glorious Chapters of History" is a meaningful activity aimed at widely disseminating and educating about the significance and contemporary relevance of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam – now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

This is also an opportunity for each of us to reflect on the fervent patriotic tradition, the spirit of national unity, and the aspiration for peace, independence, and freedom; to express our profound gratitude to the generations of ancestors who sacrificed their lives and blood for national independence and the happiness of the people. At the same time, this activity contributes to arousing and fostering the people's faith and pride in the Party, the State, and the country's renewal process, leading the country into a new era – an era of stable and prosperous development for the Vietnamese nation.

"Through this exhibition, Hanoi Moi Newspaper hopes to bring to the public, especially the younger generation, authentic and profound experiences, so that from the pride of the past, we can gain more faith, strength, and aspirations to contribute to the cause of building and developing the capital and the country to become increasingly prosperous, civilized, and modern," journalist Nguyen Minh Duc emphasized.

The photo exhibition "Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day 2-9 – Continuing the Glorious Chapters of History" is being held at the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. This is not only a famous "check-in" spot in the capital, but it also lies on a journey to many historical locations associated with the revolutionary days 80 years ago. These include the August Revolution Square – where the historic rally of the people of Hanoi took place on August 19, 1945, marking the beginning of the General Uprising to seize power throughout the country. It also includes House No. 48 Hang Ngang – where President Ho Chi Minh drafted the Declaration of Independence.

Many photographs were provided by the National Archives Center III, including valuable works by photographer Nguyen Ba Khoan such as "Welcoming Allied troops at Trang Tien in August 1945", "The Liberation Army Propaganda Team led by Comrade Dam Quang Trung on September 2, 1945", "Chiang Kai-shek's Chinese troops first entering Lang Son province in August 1945", "Famine relief day on September 28, 1945", "Hanoi's army and people providing famine relief in 1945 during the resistance", "Young Pioneers cultivating sweet potatoes to relieve famine on the Hanoi riverbank in 1945", "Hanoi Youth Union in 1945", "Hanoi Self-Defense Team in 1945", "Suicide squad ambushing the enemy in Khuong Thuong - Hanoi in 1945", "The entire population resisting the enemy in 1945 in the outskirts of Hanoi"...
