Building safe and culturally rich destinations.

Along with infrastructure investment and tourism product development, many localities in the southeastern region of Lam Dong province are focusing on building unique check-in points, combined with promoting them on digital platforms to attract tourists.

Add a highlight to your journey.

On weekends, from early morning, the community beach area in Tien Thanh ward – where the "Tien Thanh check-in" models are located – attracts many tourists who come to visit and take photos. The meticulously designed miniature landscapes, using environmentally friendly materials such as wood, thatched umbrellas, bamboo boats, and beach sand, are both artistic and creative, reflecting the local government's orientation towards green and sustainable tourism development, while preserving the pristine beauty of the sea.

As someone who enjoys experiencing and exploring new places, Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Van and her group of friends from Ham Thang ward shared: “Before coming here, I watched many videos and saw many pictures on Facebook. Indeed, there are many new photo spots here, and the models perfectly recreate the characteristic beauty of the coastal region, with its ‘blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine’.”

The trend of tourists taking check-in photos is becoming increasingly popular, contributing to creating unique highlights, new products, and a distinct identity for each locality. Each photo shared by tourists on social media becomes a genuine form of promotion, creating a ripple effect and building trust with other tourists.

For example, the image of the "lonely tree" in Phu Quy Special Economic Zone has been widely shared on social media, creating a positive effect that makes many tourists want to take a picture with it when they visit the island. Through this, the local image is widely promoted without incurring excessive costs.

Ms. Tran Thi Trung Trinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Thanh Ward, said that in the context of competing tourist destinations, beautiful scenery alone is not enough; it needs to be effectively promoted. Shifting from a mindset of exploiting natural resources to building a strategic image with clear positioning is a necessary direction. Building this image through check-in points is the first step in that.

With the message: "Every tourist establishment is a shining example - Every citizen is a tourism ambassador" and the positive effect from the new check-in point, combined with synchronously organized cultural and tourism activities, Tien Thanh ward is attracting a large number of tourists to visit and relax. From the beginning of the year until now, the locality has welcomed nearly 12,000 visitors and is gradually becoming a priority destination on the Lam Dong tourism map.

Building an image of a safe spot.

While friendliness and creating unique attractions make a good first impression, safety is the foundation for retaining tourists. Therefore, coastal localities such as Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Phu Thuy, Tien Thanh, and La Gi pay special attention to ensuring security and order. Task forces operate regularly, promptly detecting and handling emerging situations, conducting rescue operations from beaches and tourist streets to accommodation facilities, creating a safe and healthy environment for tourists.

In addition, environmental hygiene and food safety are also top priorities. Food service establishments must strictly comply with regulations regarding food origin, processing, and preservation procedures. They must also collect and dispose of waste properly, avoiding indiscriminate dumping, thus contributing to the preservation of the overall landscape.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Boi Nhu, Vice Chairman of the Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee, said: "We believe that building a tourism image starts not only from large-scale projects but also from the behavior and service of each individual citizen and business household. This helps tourists better understand the life, culture, and rhythm of life of the coastal residents, while affirming Phu Thuy as a destination rich in unique experiences."

The combination of beautiful landscapes, engaging experiences, and a safe and civilized tourism environment is contributing to enhancing the attractiveness and status of tourism in each coastal locality. This opens up opportunities for economic development, cultural promotion, and elevating the image of the destination in the digital age.
