Following the reorganization and streamlining of the administrative apparatus, Trung Ha commune was established by merging the communes of Trung Ha, Trung Tien, and Trung Xuan from the former Quan Son district, covering an area of 123.86 km2. This area boasts a high forest cover rate, numerous rivers and streams, and favorable climate and soil conditions for livestock development. In fact, prior to the implementation of the two-tiered local government system, the total number of livestock and poultry in the area exceeded 21,800. However, due to uneven levels of education, most households still maintain outdated, fragmented, and small-scale farming practices, failing to strictly adhere to technical procedures and disease prevention measures, resulting in low economic efficiency.

Mr. Lu Van Ha, Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune, said: "To concretize the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the commune, the commune has urgently developed, issued, and implemented the Project on Applying Science and Technology to Develop Safe Livestock Farming, giai đoạn 2026-2030. Through this, the aim is to develop livestock farming models in a safe, efficient, and sustainable direction, gradually transforming from small-scale to concentrated farming, applying comprehensive biosafety measures to effectively control diseases, minimize environmental pollution, and improve product quality. At the same time, it aims to increase productivity, added value, and income for livestock farmers, ensure food safety, meet market demands, and serve the goal of economic development."

To effectively implement this project, Trung Ha commune organized diverse and rich forms and content of propaganda suitable to the level of understanding and customs of the people. This focused on changing perceptions about the role of livestock farming in economic development, linking it with the application of science and technology and market demands. It disseminated information on government support policies for farm development and exemplary livestock farming models. Simultaneously, it conducted surveys and assessments of the current livestock population, number of households, farming methods, and the needs and capabilities of the people to develop appropriate solutions and development orientations. Trung Ha commune also stipulated that livestock facilities must be built far from residential areas, rivers, and streams, in line with environmental protection and development planning. Households raising large numbers of livestock and poultry must build biogas digesters, ensuring environmental hygiene and providing fuel for production.

To encourage households to participate, Trung Ha commune has leveraged state resources through national target programs to provide support, training, and study tours to learn from effective models. At the same time, it has encouraged families of officials, Party members, and influential people in the villages to take the lead and implement these initiatives so that the people can learn from and follow suit.

With a scientific and synchronized approach, although the time has not been long, more than 80 households in Trung Ha commune have registered to participate in livestock development models. Many of these households have boldly invested in large-scale farms and implemented the model. A typical example is the deer farming model for antler harvesting of Mr. Ha Van Hoa (born in 1976) in Din village. After being encouraged and promoted by the commune, he independently researched the knowledge, then went to Nghe An to learn about the practical methods and technical processes, and boldly borrowed capital to invest in deer farming from the end of 2025. Thanks to adhering to the breeding process and suitable climatic conditions, the 20 deer he invested in are developing well. Mr. Hoa confided: "Although it's not yet time to harvest the antlers, I believe this model will have high economic efficiency."

In Trung Ha commune, there are also 4 other families raising spotted deer. Many households have invested in raising bamboo rats, pigs, and commercial chickens... Many of these models have shown initial economic effectiveness, such as the commercial hybrid chicken farm of Mr. Ha Van Thuong (born in 1990) in Din village, which generated revenue of over 20 million VND in the first 3 months of 2026.

In an effort to develop livestock farming models, the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune has regularly sent officials to livestock farms to guide households on disease prevention and control, as well as ensuring environmental hygiene. At the same time, they have mobilized the people to contribute labor, along with government support, to invest in building roads to livestock farming areas, creating favorable conditions for people to develop their economy in their homeland.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune, Mr. Lu Van Ha, added: "In support of the people's livestock development, the commune is carrying out promotional activities, connecting supply and demand, and calling on businesses and traders to cooperate with the people to form a closed production and consumption chain. At the same time, we are gradually building brands and trademarks for safe livestock products, applying traceability, ensuring quality and food safety to meet market demands and increase the added value of the products."
