On February 26th, in Binh Thuan, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched the 2023 Youth Month. Attending the event were members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Acting President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam ; and Duong Van An, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Thuan Province.

According to Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the 2023 Youth Month is the first Youth Month of the 12th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union. With the theme "Youth Pioneering Digital Transformation," this year's Youth Month aims to demonstrate the determination of young people nationwide to create new values ​​and make concrete contributions to the implementation of the year's work theme: "Year of Digital Transformation of Youth Union Activities" and the Government 's "Year of Digital Data."

The 2023 Youth Month focused on promoting and educating about the glorious traditions of Vietnamese youth and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; organizing activities to foster the pioneering, volunteer, and creative spirit of youth in building and defending the Fatherland. These activities also contributed to promoting the leading and core role of Youth Union members and young people in digital transformation; organizing activities to support young people in starting businesses, establishing careers, and integrating internationally; caring for and supporting children and teenagers; building a strong Youth Union, and expanding the front of solidarity and gathering of young people.

During Youth Month 2023, several notable activities will take place, including: the "March Border Program"; the launch of the peak volunteer day to support people in accessing online public services; the commendation of outstanding Youth Union officials nationwide and the awarding of the Ly Tu Trong Prize; and the awarding ceremony for the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces… In particular, Youth Month 2023 will feature a dialogue conference between the Prime Minister and youth, and an exchange program between the Central Committee of the Youth Union and Youth Union members and young people both domestically and internationally.

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for choosing the theme for this year's Youth Month as "Youth Pioneers in Digital Transformation".

"This is an important and urgent task, responding to the general trend of the times, bringing our country into deep integration with the overall development of the world. In this process, youth are the force with all the necessary qualities to be at the forefront in organizing and implementing it. This activity also aims to concretize the directive of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the recent National Youth Union Congress, which emphasized: 'Youth must be at the forefront in labor, production, and creativity, implementing the policy of promoting national digital transformation; developing the digital economy on the foundation of science and technology, and innovation'," the Acting President said.

Considering this a difficult and challenging task, requiring focused leadership and guidance from the Central Committee of the Youth Union; high determination, dynamism, and creativity from all levels of the Youth Union; and active, pioneering participation from young people nationwide to create a widespread movement, contributing to making Vietnam a digital, stable, and prosperous nation, pioneering the testing of new technologies and models by 2030, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan requested that all levels of the Youth Union continue to thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the Party and State's guidelines and policies on Youth Union work and youth affairs, especially the important viewpoints and directives of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the 12th National Congress of the Youth Union; spreading, deeply ingrained, and transforming them into concrete actions and deeds of all levels of the Youth Union and each Youth Union member and young person nationwide.

Strengthening propaganda efforts to raise awareness among young people nationwide about digital transformation; inspiring the aspiration for innovation, creativity, and mastery of science and technology among the younger generation so that Vietnamese youth can quickly access the Fourth Industrial Revolution; linking the digital transformation tasks of the Youth Union with the socio-economic development tasks of the country, sectors, and levels. In this process, young people are the core, the pioneering force; simultaneously, developing specific plans, roadmaps, and steps, and allocating resources appropriately to the requirements of the task to accelerate the digital transformation process within the Youth Union, in each sector, field, and locality.

At the ceremony, Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 20 gifts to families entitled to preferential policies and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution; and awarded scholarships to disadvantaged children with a total value of 200 million VND from the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Youth Union presented the Binh Thuan Provincial Youth Union with social welfare projects; projects supporting economic development, building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; and projects supporting digital transformation… The total value of the gifts and projects donated is over 14.4 billion VND.

Immediately following the launching ceremony, many activities took place, including: visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; the Youth Festival of Ethnic Minorities; the groundbreaking ceremony for the youth road project; visiting the youth team building a steel bridge for the people; training on digital transformation for community digital technology teams; organizing free medical examinations and treatment for the people; and opening a training course to support youth in developing OCOP products…

On February 26th, all 63 provinces and cities nationwide simultaneously launched the 2023 Youth Month. Through the Youth Month website's software, 67 provincial and city youth unions and affiliated youth unions registered to carry out projects and activities with a total value of over 186 billion VND.
