Aiming for their 5th U17 Asian Championship title in history, coach Shinji Ono's players continued their dominant performance, forcing their opponents to pick the ball out of the net five times.
After an initial period of cautious play, the young Japanese players gradually took control of the game, forcing the Tajikistan U17 team into a defensive posture in their own half of the field.
Just before halftime, Maki Kitahara broke the deadlock. Receiving the ball inside the penalty area, the number 10 striker unleashed a low left-footed shot into the far corner, giving goalkeeper Rahmonqulov no chance to save it.
During the halftime break, in a desperate attempt to stop an attack by Japan U17, Kabirov was sent off for a high-footed foul on Hoshi.

Taking advantage of their numerical superiority, the team in blue quickly found the net to double their lead. Kitahara unleashed a shot into the near corner from 15 meters out.
The score was further increased to 3-0 for Japan U17 when Saito tapped the ball into the net from close range, following a precise cross from Shiraogawa.
At this point, the Tajikistan U17 players were demoralized and almost gave up. Therefore, Coach Ono's team scored two more goals at the end of the match, courtesy of Satomi and Kataki.
With a resounding 5-0 victory, the Japanese U17 team advanced to the semi-finals, where they will face either Uzbekistan U17 or South Korea U17.
