- Education in Ca Mau : A boost from two major resolutions.
Meaningful community-oriented activities
For the past three years, the Literature Club of Phan Ngoc Hien Specialized High School has become a familiar name to underprivileged children in the local area. With 60 members, the club regularly maintains the "For Children" project through two meaningful programs: "Spring of Love" and "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival". What is particularly commendable is that all operating funds are not only raised through donations but also through the self-generated efforts of the students themselves.
Members of the Literature Club brought joy to the children with meaningful gifts.
Most recently, to raise over 15 million VND, the members collected used books, designed and sold keychains to raise funds, and 100% of the profits were used to donate nearly 70 gifts to underprivileged children in An Xuyen ward. Lam Chi Vinh, a member of the club, enthusiastically shared: “Not only does this help the community, but it also provides an environment for us to improve our lacking skills and gives us more motivation to get involved in social fields.”
Ms. Huynh Hong Dung said that each activity is an opportunity for students to practice their skills.
Accompanying the students, Ms. Huynh Hong Dung, the club's leader, affirmed: "This activity closely follows the educational focus of the 2018 program. Each year, the students create different forms of implementation, thereby developing soft skills, cooperation abilities, and innovative thinking."
Open a book, open a library of knowledge.
With a proactive spirit, the Readers' Club ( Binh Duong University - Ca Mau branch) maintains its activities with meaningful programs. At the end of 2025, with the theme "Season of Gratitude," club members selected photos, brainstormed ideas, and designed photo frames as gifts for their teachers. The highlight of the program was incorporating inspiring quotes from books into the gifts.
Members of the Readers' Club personally prepared photo frames and messages from books to express their gratitude to their teachers.
Ms. Pham Ngoc Cam, an employee of the Administrative and General Affairs Department and the Club's Chairperson, said: "These proverbs are not only wishes but also messages that motivate teachers on their journey of 'sowing green seeds,' while strongly spreading a reading culture among students."
Student Le Phuong Thao expressed: "This small gift is a profound expression of gratitude that we send to our teachers, who nurtured our dreams and guided our future." Sharing the same sentiment, student Le Cao Bao Ngoc emphasized that this is a practical activity to preserve the tradition of "Respecting Teachers and Valuing Education" in the university environment.
Learning goes hand in hand with practice.
No longer just dry formulas on the blackboard, scientific knowledge has been put into practice by students of Tan Loc Secondary and High School (Tan Loc commune) through practical, highly applicable products at the STEM Festival . This is a playground integrating four fields: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, helping students maximize their creative thinking. With the theme "Innovation for a Green Future," this year's festival exploded in both quantity and quality, with 68 products, double the number from last year.
Over 20 naturally fermented food products were on display at the STEM Festival.
Particularly impressive was the model "A Two-Color Picture of the Earth" from Class 10T1, conveying a message about environmental pollution. Quach Thai Anh Thu, representing the class, shared: "By applying our knowledge of Geography, Technology, and design scale calculations, we created this model with the hope of encouraging everyone to join hands in protecting the environment from the smallest things, such as disposing of waste properly or limiting the use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture."
The two-color model of the Earth from class 10T1 participated in the STEM Festival.
The highlight of the event was the exhibition area showcasing more than 20 natural food products. Here, biological and chemical concepts became more accessible through processes such as fruit juice fermentation and food coloring extraction.
While introducing her meticulously brewed fermented fruit juice product, Ha Truc Lam, a student in class 11T3, excitedly shared: “I found the theory about probiotics very difficult, but when the teachers guided me through practical exercises and applied my knowledge of Biology and Chemistry to real-world situations, I found it much easier to understand and more interesting.”
Sharing the same sentiment, Bui Quoc Manh, a student in class 11T1, affirmed that creating his own crystallized glutinous rice flour from natural colors helped him realize that science and life always go hand in hand.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hung, Head of the Natural Sciences Department, highly praised the students' progress: " The biggest goal is to create opportunities for them to demonstrate teamwork skills and apply their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to real-world situations. "
The STEM Festival is not just a competition, but also an important bridge connecting teaching and learning with professional development innovation. From today's mindset, "green shoots" of science are being sown, making students more dynamic and diligent in their studies for the future.
Concluding these events and charitable projects, what remains is the growth in awareness of each young person. From the "nursery" of the school, the seamless combination of theory and practice has helped them not only excel in theory and possess strong skills but also enrich their life experiences, enabling them to confidently step into the future.
