A culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) is not only an inevitable trend but also one of the goals PNJ pursues on its journey towards sustainable development.


DE&I is a crucial component of sustainable development.

In the context of increasing globalization and economic integration, striving for a DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) work environment has become one of the key factors determining the success and sustainable development of an organization.

"A magnet" for attracting talent.

A work environment that prioritizes DE&I (Design, Innovation, and Innovation) will act as a magnet to attract and retain talent, foster creativity, enhance work performance, and build a positive image for the company. In Vietnam, several organizations have been striving to find ways to "implant" this culture into their corporate "DNA."

At the 2024 Sustainable Business Awards Ceremony in Vietnam, organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD), PNJ and other pioneering businesses in building and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusiveness were commended.

PNJ was recognized as a pioneering enterprise in building and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion at CSI 2024.

In this context, PNJ is mentioned as a pioneering enterprise with continuous efforts in building a DE&I culture, and also marks its 9th consecutive year in the top 10 sustainable businesses in the trade and service sector.

Over the years, the company has conducted stakeholder consultations in developing its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) commitment. Simultaneously, the unit decided to identify DE&I as one of the 12 key areas for ESG practice.

"We create a diverse, fair, and inclusive environment within the company by listening to and respecting differences, empowering individuals responsibly, encouraging opportunities, and providing due recognition," a company representative shared.

Female employees make up 60% of PNJ's workforce, and the majority of its customers are also female.

All the characteristics among members of an organization, such as age, gender, personality, religion, geographical location, occupation, qualifications, experience, and role within the organization, possess their own unique beauty and are always celebrated.

The proportion of female employees is over 60%.

Reportedly, the company has over 60% female employees, with over 57% in management positions and 40% in senior leadership. This gender diversity has created a foundation that allows the company to leverage diverse perspectives, resulting in richer and more reliable decision-making processes.

All employees are given opportunities to learn and develop, with equal income and opportunities for advancement.

A company representative added: "In our governance system, we integrate all three ESG elements. We have made and are committed to the statement: the company acts responsibly to sustainably celebrate the beauty of people and life."

PNJ implements the Happy Young Family program to accompany young Vietnamese families on their journey of building and nurturing marriage.

Besides fostering internal culture, the company also continuously spreads a culture of diversity, fairness, and harmony to customers and the community. This is achieved through meaningful activities that bring value to the community, such as: the "Connecting Warm Hands" program, the "Zero-Cost Mini Supermarket" series, the childbirth support program, the "Happy Young Family" project, etc.

PNJ's community impact over the past period is a model of a pioneering enterprise with many specific and practical activities, and a clear testament to the comprehensive and balanced implementation of all three ESG pillars in its sustainable development strategy.
