On the evening of April 26th, Nguyen Van Toan landed awkwardly, resulting in an injury that forced him to leave the field after the first half of the Nam Dinh vs. Binh Duong match at home in Round 20 of the V.League.

The incident occurred in the 45th minute plus one minute. During a challenge with a Binh Duong player, Van Toan jumped high and landed awkwardly, resulting in injury. He was immediately taken off the field to receive medical attention.

The striker from Hai Duong was unable to continue playing, forcing coach Vu Hong Viet to bring on Tran Van Kien at the start of the second half. In this match, Nam Dinh won with a score of 3-1.

Speaking after the match, Nam Dinh 's coach Vu Hong Viet confirmed that Van Toan suffered a recurrence of an old hamstring injury, but the problem was not too serious. Before leaving the field, Van Toan provided an assist for Lam Ti Phong.

This V.League season has seen Nguyen Van Toan's poor physical condition, as he has had two periods of absence due to different injuries. After the first three matches, Van Toan missed four consecutive games due to an ankle injury.
