Football Transfers reports that, despite rejecting a move to a Middle Eastern country last summer, center-back Raphael Varane has now changed his mind and wants to leave the chaotic situation at Manchester United.

According to the British press, Varane was completely unhappy with Erik ten Hag for leaving him on the bench for the entire match in the Manchester derby, which MU lost 0-3 to Man City.
In their most recent match, the "Red Devils" suffered a crushing defeat to Newcastle in the fourth round of the League Cup, with the same scoreline. Varane was also absent, but the MU manager stated that he was ill.
Currently, Manchester United's situation is quite dire, and manager Ten Hag faces the risk of being sacked. Worryingly, he seems to have lost control of the dressing room.
Last summer, the 30-year-old center-back was approached by both Al Nassr and Al Ittihad, but MU rejected the offers and Varane had no intention of leaving Old Trafford. However, things are taking a turn for the worse at the Theatre of Dreams and Varane is reportedly changing his mind, considering leaving MU at the end of the season.
Further information suggests that Raphael Varane wants to reunite with Ronaldo at Al Nassr in the final years of his playing career.
Meanwhile, Varane is not a crucial player that MU must keep at all costs. The French player is frequently injured and hasn't contributed much to the team. Statistics show that Varane has only played 570 minutes this season for MU.
Varane's contract at Old Trafford currently runs until 2025, but if Al Nassr makes a suitable offer, the transfer is entirely possible.
Varane himself has also changed his stance. In the summer of 2023, he rejected an offer from Al Ittihad and expressed his desire to stay at Man United. But now he is no longer interested in staying after the team's decline since the start of the 2023-2024 season.
