Every day, boats full of seafood come and go at Ben Do. Previously, the market was called Floating Market because the boats could not come close to the shore but only stopped far away, so the traders had to wade out to receive their goods. In the past 5 years, the market has been rebuilt with wharves and yards, creating favorable conditions for transportation and trading, so people do not have to wade far to get their goods.

Besides fresh seafood, Ben Do fish market is also a place to process seafood with typical products being oysters.
Every day, the boats set sail from 11pm to 3-4am, traveling about 30 nautical miles, catching sardines and octopus, then bringing them to the market for sale. The market sells all kinds of specialty fish from the Northern sea. At Ben Do market, seafood is fresh and cheaper than traditional markets.
Previously, this market only specialized in supplying to traditional markets. Small traders came here to buy wholesale for resale. But later, Cam Pha people gradually got into the habit of waking up early to directly buy seafood when Styrofoam boxes and fresh seafood trays were placed on the stalls. Because buying seafood here is the freshest and the price is also much cheaper than traditional markets.
When shopping at the market, customers can ask the seller to prepare the food as they wish. The long-time sellers at the market quickly use their knives to filter fish, quickly prepare several kilos of squid, they are all very friendly and attentive to customers. The scene of trading, weighing each batch of shrimp, each batch of squid is so bustling.
