The house currently used as the ancestral temple of the 4th branch, 2nd lineage of the Tran clan (Huong Tra Tay) is one of the houses built more than 200 years ago. Mr. Tran Ba Toan (Chin Du), born in 1954, is the seventh-generation owner of this house.

The house is made of jackfruit wood, structured in the "three bays, two wings" style. There are a total of 30 pillars, including 8 main pillars, 10 secondary pillars, and 12 wing pillars. The crossbeams, purlins, and gable ends are all elaborately carved and tightly interconnected.

In particular, the roof trusses are constructed in the "three-section truss" style, often called three-section trusses, connected at the points of contact through the first, second, and end columns. Specifically, at the point of contact between the two first columns, there is a "gourd-shaped bat-wing" support beam that connects the main beam and the truss.

The house retains intact traces of the past, from the wooden bed frame, altar cabinet, horizontal plaque, couplets, and intricately carved patterns…

At the same time as building his house, landlord Tran Van Cong had his men plant a persimmon tree right in the large plot of land in front of his house. With good soil and careful cultivation, the persimmon tree soon grew into a large, wide canopy, providing a cool spot for villagers to rest during the hot summer days.

When the persimmons ripen, their fragrance permeates the air. Our ancestors planted persimmon trees not only for their profound spiritual significance and auspicious feng shui but also to ensure that their descendants would have a lasting legacy of honor.

Despite enduring fierce wars, Mr. Cong's persimmon tree still stands strong. The tree is now lush and green, over 30 meters tall, with a trunk diameter of nearly 1.5 meters and a canopy width of 30 meters.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhan, 75 years old, from Huong Tra Tay neighborhood, said that the persimmon tree of landlord Tran Van Cong has been associated with the childhood of those who lived there. From the beginning of June to the 15th day of the 7th lunar month, the ripe, golden persimmons spread their fragrant aroma throughout the village.

Thanks to the great contributions of landlord Tran Van Cong, Minister of the Board of Rites Tran Van Thu, followed by Tran Van Tuoc (Huong Ngan), Tran Van Lang, Tran Van Luu (Ba Luu), Tran Van Sang, Tran Ba Toan... who successively preserved and promoted the value of tangible cultural heritage.

These "treasures" can contribute to the development of tourism in Tam Ky City towards eco-tourism and resort tourism combined with entertainment, cultural and historical experiences, as outlined in the city's tourism development plan until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
