On the morning of November 22nd, the 9th Annual Congress of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) (2022-2026 term) took place in Hanoi . In 2024, the VFF achieved total revenue of over 286 billion VND, spent approximately 284 billion VND, and made a profit of 2.3 billion VND. This expenditure was used for training and competitions of the national teams; organizing tournaments within the professional and non-professional systems; futsal, beach soccer, etc.
In 2025, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) aims to generate 270 billion VND in revenue and strive for a profit of 4 billion VND (almost double that of 2024). In addition, the organization will implement a series of investments funded by FIFA and AFC, such as: investing in the Vietnamese national team, investing in VAR technology for the V.League; renovating the VFF office; and investing in the technical analysis department of the national teams.

This figure is acceptable given the difficult economic situation and the fact that the Vietnamese national team's performance hasn't met fans' expectations. The VFF will need a period to rebuild the team before setting groundbreaking goals regarding sponsorship and media coverage.
In 2024, the VFF actively and effectively implemented its work according to plan and in line with the objectives in each specific period, but there were still issues that needed analysis and lessons learned. Therefore, the Congress focused on proposing solutions and implementing the orientation and goals for the development of Vietnamese football in 2025 and the following period, striving to successfully implement the Resolution of the 9th Congress, term 2022-2026.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – President of the VFF – emphasized that the Annual Congress of the Vietnam Football Federation is an important event to summarize and evaluate the work implemented in 2024, as well as to approve the key plans and tasks for 2025 with the determination to effectively implement the goals of Vietnamese football in the spirit of the 9th VFF Congress (2022-2026 term): "Building a sustainable football development foundation".
In implementing the Resolution of the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) for the 2022-2026 term, during the 2024 operational year, the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, member organizations, and affiliated units of the VFF have consistently upheld the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, overcome difficulties, and led and directed the organization and implementation of football development activities.
For the remainder of 2024, the VFF will focus on providing full support to the Vietnamese national team to achieve their goal of reaching the final of the 2024 AFF Cup.
