According to regulations, smoking in prohibited areas can result in a fine of 200,000 to 500,000 VND. Establishments that do not display "no smoking" signs, do not provide designated smoking areas, lack cigarette butt containers, or do not have fire safety systems may be fined from 3,000 to 10,000,000 VND.

Regarding tobacco business activities, selling or supplying tobacco to individuals under 18 years of age is punishable by a fine of 3 to 5 million VND. In addition, displaying more tobacco than permitted or selling tobacco without proper health warnings will also be severely punished.

The decree also stipulates fines ranging from 3 to 10 million VND for the act of using or harboring others to use e-cigarettes or heated tobacco products at locations under their management.
