This is an important step to meet the requirements and tasks of local military and national defense in the new situation.

At the ceremony, the Hue City Military Command announced and presented the decision to establish 40 permanent militia platoons under the Military Commands of 40 communes and wards in the city. The establishment of these platoons aims to concretize Resolution No. 30 dated May 22, 2026, of the Hue City People's Council on organizing permanent militia forces in key communes and wards for national defense in Hue City during the 2026-2030 period.

Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee and Commander of the City Military Command, emphasized: The establishment of permanent militia platoons marks a new development in the city's work of building mass armed forces. This force will contribute to strengthening the standing strength at the grassroots level, improving mobility, combat readiness, and the ability to promptly handle situations from the outset, preventing passivity and surprise. This is an important core element in building a national defense system linked to an increasingly solid people's security posture.

To ensure the platoons quickly become operational and stable, the City Military Command requests the Military Commands of communes and wards to urgently advise local Party committees and authorities to organize the selection of citizens who meet the required political standards, moral character, and health criteria, in a transparent, democratic, and lawful manner. At the same time, units need to quickly consolidate their organizational structure and personnel, ensuring good policies, living conditions, and equipment for officers and soldiers.
