NDO - On October 23rd, blue-chip stocks traded mixed, and investor caution caused the main indices to fluctuate within a narrow range around the reference point, with low liquidity. The VN-Index fortunately regained its positive momentum at the end of the session thanks to breakouts from large-cap stocks such as VIC, STB, and TPB. At the close, the VN-Index rose 1.01 points to 1,270.9 points.
On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching over 12,862.88 billion VND; foreign investors made net purchases of 9 billion VND.
Today's trading session saw 14 stocks in the VN30 index rise, 5 stocks remain unchanged, and 11 stocks fall.
Specifically, VIC increased by 2.37% to 43,200 VND/share, STB increased by 2.29% to 35,800 VND/share, TPB increased by 2.02%, and PLX increased by 1.2%.
The following stocks saw slight increases: BCM, BVH, CTG,FPT , MSN, POW, SSI, VCB, VJC, VRE.
Five stocks stopped at the reference price:ACB , MBB, SAB, TCB, VNM.
Conversely, VHM fell 2.59% to 47,000 VND per share.
The remaining stocks: BID, GAS, GVR, HDB, HPG, MWG,SHB , SSB, VIB, VPB saw slight declines.
In terms of sectors, steel stocks mostly experienced slight fluctuations, specifically: DTL increased by 0.83%, HSG and NKG both increased by 0.25%, SMC increased by 1.06%, HMC and VCA remained unchanged, HPG decreased by 0.75%, and TLH decreased by 0.93%.
The securities sector closed in positive territory, with VDS rising 2.56%, CTS 1.34%, TCI 1.08%, FTS 0.96%, SSI 0.75%, AGR 0.57%, BSI 0.21%, DSE 0.2%, while HCM and ORS remained unchanged. Conversely, TVB fell 2.62%, TVS 0.45%, VIX 0.43%, VND 0.34%, VCI 0.28%, and APG 0.22%.
The banking sector stocks traded mixed. Besides the VN30 group stocks ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, and VIB mentioned above, the remaining stocks were: EIB and OCB remained unchanged, LPB increased by 0.47%, MSB increased by 0.78%, and NAB increased by 0.32%.
* The Vietnamese stock market index fluctuated around the reference point today, with the VNXALL-Index closing up 5.03 points (+0.24%) at 2,110.45 points. Total market liquidity reached 553.14 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 13,995.12 billion. Across the market, 216 stocks increased in price, 89 remained unchanged, and 155 decreased.
* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 226.50 points, up 1.00 point (+0.44%). Total trading volume reached over 40.04 million units, with a corresponding transaction value of over 651.04 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, there were 95 gainers, 57 unchanged stocks, and 62 losers.
The HNX30 index closed up 1.15 points (+0.24%) at 488.36 points. Trading volume reached approximately 24.01 million units, with a corresponding value of over 487.98 billion VND. Among the HNX30 stocks, 14 ended the trading day higher, 5 remained unchanged, and 11 declined.
On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index rose, closing at 92.12 points, up 0.39 points (+0.43%). Total market liquidity reached over 19.93 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 229.57 billion VND. Among UPCoM stocks, 169 ended the trading day higher, 86 remained unchanged, and 115 declined.

Trading volume reached over 589.75 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 14,040.97 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 204 gainers, 77 unchanged stocks, and 156 losers.
The VN30 index rose 0.80 points (+0.06%) to 1,349.72 points. Trading volume reached over 257.23 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 7,967.91 billion. At the end of the trading day, 14 VN30 stocks increased, 5 remained unchanged, and 11 decreased.
The five stocks with the highest trading volume were VHM (over 33.34 million units), VIB (over 24.22 million units), DXG (over 22.45 million units), TPB (over 18.00 million units), and TCB (over 16.76 million units).
