VinFast VF8 arrives at US port.

On May 12th (May 13th in Vietnam time), 1,879 VF-8 electric cars arrived at the port of Benicia, California, USA. This is the second batch of VinFast vehicles exported to the international market; 1,098 cars will be delivered to US customers, and the remaining 781 cars will be transported to Canada in the following days.

The entire batch of vehicles this time consists of VF 8s, offering a higher driving range compared to the batch of 999 City Edition vehicles that arrived in the US in late 2022. Accordingly, the EPA-certified driving range on a single charge for the VF 8 Eco is 264 miles, and for the VF 8 Plus is 243 miles.

In terms of after-sales service, the VF 8 also offers a 10-year/125,000-mile warranty for the vehicle and a 10-year/unlimited-mile warranty for the battery, along with mobile repair services and 24/7 roadside assistance throughout the warranty period.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Vingroup and President of VinFast, stated: “After more than four months of exporting the first batch of vehicles, VinFast continues to offer a new option with the VF 8 model, which boasts a longer driving range, affirming our well-structured business strategy and serious commitment to global customers. The acceptance and support of consumers in the US and Canada are the driving force for VinFast to strive even harder in our journey to join hands with the community in promoting electrification, towards a green and sustainable future for everyone.”

VinFast has completed all procedures to sell the VF 8 in the US, including obtaining the EPA COC for importing and operating the vehicle; and the CARB EO for delivering vehicles to customers in California and other states that apply CARB regulations (including 14 other states and Washington DC). Simultaneously, the VF 8 has also successfully passed the FMVSS tests as required by the NHTSA. The company expects to deliver the VF 8 to customers starting in June 2023.

After delivering 1,098 vehicles to the US market, the Silver Queen will continue transporting the remaining 781 vehicles to Canada, expected to arrive at the port in mid-May 2023.
