VN-Index edged lower, foreign investors continued net buying of nearly 360 billion VND.

NDO - On November 27th, the market fluctuated around the reference point with sellers dominating. Many sectors such as energy, banking, securities, and real estate were in the red, and many large-cap stocks like VHM, VIC, CTG, GAS, and SSI fell sharply, causing the VN-Index to close in the red, down 0.16 points to 1,241.97 points.


Market liquidity decreased sharply compared to the previous session and remained low, with a total trading volume of over 505.36 million shares across all three exchanges, equivalent to a total trading value of over 12,732.46 billion VND.

Foreign investors continued their net buying streak for the fourth consecutive session, with a value exceeding VND 359.12 billion, focusing on stocks such asFPT (over VND 686 billion), MSN (over VND 62 billion), VNM (over VND 36 billion), POW (over VND 21 billion), VPB (over VND 18 billion), etc.

Conversely, the stocks with the highest net selling volume in this session included HPG (over 66 billion VND), DCM (over 47 billion VND), VRE (over 42 billion VND), SSI (over 37 billion VND), DGC (over 35 billion VND), etc.

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching over 9,264.21 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index's increase of over 2.71 points included: FPT, VCB, LPB, EIB, BID, POW, HDB, MWG, VTP, and QCG.

Conversely, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index, causing it to drop by more than 1.82 points, included: VHM, VIC, CTG, GAS, SSI, DCM, VRE, VJC, VNM, and HAG.

In terms of sectors, information technology stocks saw the strongest increase in the market (+2.66%), mainly driven by FPT and CMG.

The banking sector stocks showed mixed performance, with a slight increase of 0.13%, mainly driven by VCB, BID, LPB, HDB, ACB, SSB, EIB... Declining stocks included CTG, TCB, VIB,SHB , MSB, OCB...

Securities stocks were mostly in the red, falling 0.64%, mainly due to declines in SSI, VCI, VND, HCM, VIX, FTS, BSI, CTS, ORS, VDS, AGR...

Real estate stocks also performed poorly, falling 0.44%, mainly due to declines in VHM, VIC, VRE, KDH, SSH, VPI, IDC, SIP, NLG, TCH, DIG, KSF... Stocks that rose included NVL, KBC, HDG, SNZ, DXG...

Similarly, the materials sector also saw a 0.28% decrease, mainly driven by stocks like HPG, GVR, DCM, VGC, DPM, HSG, VCS, BMP, PHR, NTP, AAA, DPR, GDA... Stocks that rose included DGC, KSV, ACG, VIF, NKG, TVN, HT1...

* The Vietnamese stock market index maintained its positive momentum for most of today's trading session. The VNXALL-Index closed up 2.15 points (+0.11%) at 2,049.35 points. Trading volume exceeded 399.59 million units, with a trading value of over 11,424.61 billion VND. Across the market, 121 stocks increased in price, 106 remained unchanged, and 224 decreased.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 223.09 points, down 0.61 points (-0.27%). Total trading volume reached over 33.57 million shares, with a corresponding transaction value of over 570.15 billion VND. Across the entire market, 59 stocks increased in price, 58 remained unchanged, and 88 decreased.

The HNX30 index closed up 1.53 points (-0.32%) at 474.27 points. Trading volume reached over 16.05 million units, with a corresponding value of over 339.59 billion VND. Across the entire market, there were 6 gainers, 6 unchanged stocks, and 18 losers.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 91.96 points, down 0.10 points (-0.11%). Total market liquidity reached over 42.98 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 806.35 billion VND. Across the market, 151 stocks increased in price, 97 remained unchanged, and 105 decreased.

* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 0.16 points (-0.01%), at 1,241.97 points. Trading volume reached over 428.81 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 11,355.96 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 124 gainers, 89 unchanged stocks, and 237 losers.

The VN30 index rose 1.84 points (+0.14%) to 1,301.06 points. Trading volume reached over 152.52 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of over 5,723.04 VND. At the end of the trading day, 9 VN30 stocks increased, 7 remained unchanged, and 14 decreased.

* Today's derivatives market saw 143,508 contracts traded, with a value exceeding VND 18,756.41 billion.
