During the meeting, both sides approved a report on the implementation of the cooperation program signed between Binh Duong province and the Party Committee of VRG. Accordingly, the basic objectives have been achieved, including the consolidation of the steering committee to review and resolve difficulties and obstacles in VRG's land-use projects such as: the Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park expansion project - phase II, Rach Bap Industrial Park, Long Tan Industrial Cluster, Nam Tan Uyen housing area, An Tay housing area, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex IDC, said that in the coming time, the joint venture between Becamex IDC, VSIP, and VRG will focus on investing in and implementing key national projects in transportation, science and technology, and innovation, cooperating in investing in key national projects such as: ring roads, metro and railway lines, developing science and technology parks, science and technology industrial parks, data centers, etc.
Mr. Le Thanh Hung, General Director of VRG, shared that the signing of the cooperation agreement between VRG and Becamex IDC and VSIP will leverage existing advantages in finance, technology, infrastructure, experience, and human resources to develop industrial infrastructure, urban areas, and social housing.
In addition, the consortium will cooperate in large-scale energy production and supply such as solar farms, wind farms, gas-fired power plants, and other clean energy sectors, aiming to provide a stable energy supply in the province and contribute to the "Net Zero" carbon neutrality goal by 2050…
At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results of the cooperation between VRG and Binh Duong province in the past, as well as the development orientations for the future. The cooperation between Becamex IDC and VRG needs to play a pivotal and pioneering role in coordination, leading the way in development tasks according to the province's orientation.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee noted that cooperation and development must be based on VRG's plan as well as the provincial plan approved by the Prime Minister , for the period 2025-2030 and with a vision to 2050, in which environmental protection factors must be prioritized.
