Recently, the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam held a national conference to disseminate Regulation No. 144-QĐ/TW on the revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and Party members in the new period, using both in-person and online formats. In his concluding remarks, Politburo member and Standing Committee Secretary Luong Cuong emphasized the significance and core contents of Regulation No. 144 on the revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and Party members in the new period. According to the Standing Committee Secretary, this is a concrete step in implementing Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW of the 13th Central Committee on strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and the political system. This affirms the Party's special attention to building the Party's ethics, concretizing it into 5 Articles and 19 contents so that the Party truly becomes ethical and civilized, as taught by President Ho Chi Minh, and worthy of the people's trust and affection, as the Party is known as "Our Party".

The Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee also stated that the newly issued Regulation 144-QĐ/TW is only the initial success. The most important and crucial thing is that all cadres and Party members must thoroughly understand and deeply internalize the regulation, and consciously practice ethical standards as regularly and consistently as they eat and drink daily; making revolutionary ethics a prominent characteristic of Party cadres and members, a sharp weapon to overcome all challenges and temptations, pushing back all risks of ideological and political degradation, moral decay, self-evolution, and self-transformation within the Party, making revolutionary ethics the soul of the Party's culture... According to Dr. Doan Van Bau, Head of the Political Theory Department, Central Propaganda Department - to raise awareness of the importance of the regulation, to firmly grasp and deeply understand it, and to effectively implement it, Party committees, Party organizations, and all levels of government within the political system need to uphold their roles and responsibilities and set an example in its implementation. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen inspection, supervision, and enforcement of Party discipline. In particular, the supervisory and critical role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the people must be emphasized, relying on the people to build the Party. Associate Professor Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education , stated that, as Standing Committee Secretary Luong Cuong mentioned at the national conference on this regulation, "Regulation No. 144 is only the initial success." The important thing is its practical implementation at each Party committee and organization. In particular, each cadre and Party member must consciously study, strive to cultivate and improve themselves, self-reflect and correct according to ethical standards, patriotism, respect for the people, absolute loyalty to the Party and the Fatherland; be courageous, innovative, creative, and integrated; be diligent, thrifty, honest, upright, and selfless; be united, disciplined, compassionate, and responsible; be exemplary, humble, and cultivate self-improvement and lifelong learning. In particular, cadres and Party members must fulfill their duties and responsibilities to the Party and the people. They must always remain steadfast in the face of difficulties and challenges, and not be tempted by money, material possessions, or fame, as the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong once affirmed: "Honor is the most sacred and precious thing."
