According to Mirror , manager Thomas Frank, who is expected to succeed Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur next week, has requested that Spurs sign Mbeumo.
Manchester United are currently the leading contenders in the race to sign Mbeumo, having submitted two official offers and held extensive negotiations with the player's agent. The Old Trafford club are willing to offer the Cameroonian striker a salary of £150,000 per week plus bonuses, bringing his total income to around £200,000 per week. However, no agreement has yet been signed between United and Brentford.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have also made no secret of their ambition to bring Mbeumo to North London. Spurs are willing to pay a salary of around £130,000 per week, lower than Manchester United, but have a significant advantage in terms of Champions League qualification, a factor that could sway the Cameroonian player.
