Firmly believing in the Party

Returning to Khun Ha commune (Tam Duong district), traveling along the newly built rural roads, observing the peaceful rhythm of life from each house to the natural scenery, and the joyful faces of the people as they welcome their relatives home for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024, we felt the transformation of this place, once considered a disadvantaged area. It is known that to achieve these results, the Party committee and government acted as a bridge between the Party's will and the people's aspirations; leading the people to unite and firmly believe in the Party, creating miracles in everyday life.

Khun Ha was once a particularly disadvantaged commune in Tam Duong district, with high rates of child marriage and illiteracy; low crop yields led to persistent hunger and poverty. The Khun Ha commune Party Committee, with high determination, sought new directions, leading and guiding the people to develop the economy , gradually reduce poverty, and build a cultural life. In this effort, propaganda and mobilization were identified as crucial factors. The commune Party Committee assigned Party committee members and officials to monitor and assist the villages; encouraging people to diversify their crop and livestock structures to ensure food security and stable income.
Based on assigned tasks, the Party branch secretary and village heads have promoted effective mass mobilization, engaging members of associations and organizations to participate in protecting a green, clean, and beautiful rural environment; and building enclosed livestock and poultry pens to replace the previous practice of free-range farming. Party members set a good example in all activities and emulation movements for the people to learn from and follow. Along with this, resources from the State and the province are promptly integrated and implemented by the commune, ensuring that they reach the right target groups and meet the production and welfare needs of the people. Many exemplary models have emerged in production and new rural development, such as: cultivating orchids to create a beautiful environment; raising livestock and poultry in hygienic conditions; installing rural street lighting; and establishing "Villages of Peace and Security."

By the end of 2023, the commune had achieved many important results in various fields. Notably, the people intensified cultivation and increased crop yields, with a total planted area of grain crops reaching 883.2 hectares. Livestock and poultry populations developed well, with 2,267 head of livestock and over 9,100 head of poultry. The forest cover rate reached 54.57%. Investments were made in transportation infrastructure and homestays in Lao Chai 1 village to serve community tourism visitors.
Party member Lu A Lung (of the Ngai Thau Thap village Party branch) is 78 years old this year, but the memories of the founding day of the Ngai Thau Thap village Party branch remain vivid, filled with pride and emotion, etched in his heart. Now, Mr. Lung is one of the historical witnesses to the journey of building and developing the Ngai Thau Thap village Party branch in particular, and the Khun Ha commune Party committee in general.
Mr. Lùng said: “The Party cell of Ngài Thầu Thấp village was established at a time when the locality was still facing many difficulties, but it has always fostered a spirit of unity, effort, and high determination among its members. As a result, the people have become self-reliant, trusting in the leadership of the Party and the government, and focusing on developing the village's socio-economic conditions.”
Currently, the Khun Há commune Party Committee has 20 branches with 177 Party members. From 2013 to the present, 100% of the villages have established Party branches. Party members are at the forefront of developing family economies, helping the people apply scientific and technological advancements to livestock farming and cultivation, eliminating the mentality of waiting and relying on state support. At the same time, they do not migrate freely; do not listen to bad people who violate the law; and contribute labor and land to build new rural areas.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Khun Ha commune, said: “In the past period, the commune's Party Committee has focused on leading and directing cadres, Party members, and the people to unite, overcome difficulties, and implement the directives, resolutions, projects, and conclusions of the central and local authorities. Party members have done a good job in mass mobilization work, guiding the people in agricultural and forestry production, preventing and controlling diseases in crops and livestock, and increasing family income. Cadres and Party members consistently adhere to the motto 'Actions speak louder than words,' being pioneers and role models, which has created a solid foundation for the people of Khun Ha to firmly believe in the Party.”
