Meeting us in late May, Ma Thi Hien, a Tay ethnic student in class 12A at Bao Thang Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School in Bao Thang commune, was still deeply moved as she recalled the moment she took the oath under the Party flag, the national flag, and the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh.

May 19th this year marks a special milestone in Ma Thi Hien's school years. Being admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday is an honor and a source of pride that she will always remember on her journey to adulthood.
Hien shared: "I feel very happy and proud, and also grateful to my teachers and family for helping and guiding me throughout my studies and training."
Born and raised in a disadvantaged ethnic minority family, Ma Thi Hien, through her strong will and diligent efforts in studying and training, has consistently achieved excellent academic results and actively participated in school and class activities. The decision to join the Party, which she has just been honored to receive, is the result of a long and persistent process of striving, from studying and moral development to participating in youth union movements and volunteer activities.

Also admitted to the Party in this round, Ly Thi Hoai Thuong, a 12th-grade student from Bao Thang Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, considers this a special milestone in her student life. For Thuong, joining the Party is a recognition of her persistent efforts throughout her high school years.
Thuong said that ever since she was a 10th-grade student, she had set clear learning goals, constantly studying on her own to improve her knowledge and actively participating in group activities.
It is noteworthy that the students who were admitted to the Party while still in school all had outstanding academic achievements, actively participated in youth union activities and movements, and were trusted by their teachers and friends. They were not only exemplary individuals within their groups but also spread the spirit of responsibility, ambition, and the desire to contribute of young people.
According to Mr. Phung Minh Thai, Principal of Bao Thang Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School: The three outstanding students admitted to the Party on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday are all excellent students with outstanding achievements in both academics and extracurricular activities.
In recent years, the development of Party members among students has been actively pursued by schools in Lao Cai province. Many high schools have focused on identifying and nurturing outstanding Youth Union members, creating an environment for them to train, contribute, and grow. This contributes to rejuvenating the Party membership and building a generation of young people with revolutionary ideals and a sense of responsibility towards the community.

At Bao Yen No. 1 High School, Truong Vu Hung, a student in class 12A5, has the honor of being one of the students selected to attend a Party awareness training course and will be admitted into the Party ranks when he turns 18. For Hung, this will be the starting point for a new journey of self-improvement.
"As one of the students attending the Party awareness training course and soon to be admitted to the Party, this is a significant milestone that makes me feel extremely emotional and proud," Hung shared.
Eighteen is the age of dreams, aspirations, and choices for the future. Being admitted to the Party at the most beautiful age of life is not only a reward for past efforts but also a powerful motivation for them to continue striving on the path ahead.

In the eyes of these 18-year-old Party members, there is not only joy and pride but also a clear sense of responsibility; responsibility to themselves, to their families, their schools, and more broadly, to their homeland and country. Having been entrusted with the Party's confidence, they understand that they need to be more exemplary, more diligent, and more dedicated.

Outstanding students who join the Party while still in school are the "red seeds" for the future. From these highland schools today, they are gradually affirming their character, ideals, and responsibilities as young people, contributing to the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, Lao Cai, through their knowledge, aspirations, and spirit of dedication.
