We were at the second fortification area of the missile launch pad. From a distance, the sound of military vehicle engines echoed steadily. The TZM vehicle pulling the missile, driven by Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Vu Thang (Company 2, Battalion 62), quickly reversed into the loading ramp. The vehicle passed the speed bump and stopped precisely as scheduled.
Immediately, the squad leader and three gunners quickly moved into position. The operations were performed skillfully and precisely. Soldier number 1 ran to the right of the rear of the vehicle to detach the trailer, preparing to rotate the launcher; soldiers number 2 and 3 moved towards the missile warhead. The squad leader ran to the left of the rear of the TZM vehicle to coordinate the detachment of the trailer. When soldiers number 2 and 3 aligned the missile warhead with the launch platform, soldier number 1 performed the rotation operation, loading the missile into the launcher. Having completed the task, the soldiers quickly returned the launcher to its original position.

With beads of sweat rolling down his sun-tanned face, Corporal Vu Dai Khang, Squad Leader of Platoon 1, Company 2, Battalion 62, shared: “After six months of squad leader training, upon arriving at my new unit, I always demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility in training. We practice from small, slow movements to gradually faster ones, because in ammunition loading practice, time is measured in minutes. Therefore, the entire squad is always highly determined to successfully complete the mission.”
During the assembly and operation of the multi-ton launch platform, the gunners focused on installing the two operating mechanisms at the front and rear of the platform. This was a difficult step requiring extremely high precision and seamless coordination among the gunners. Even a slight misalignment would cause the joints to malfunction and prevent assembly. The crew commander continuously directed adjustments to ensure the operating mechanisms were positioned correctly. Three gunners held the carriages, each responsible for one side of the wheels, to move the platform. Commands such as, "2 stop!", "3 move!", "2 engage!", etc., were issued continuously. Following the commander's orders, the gunners gradually installed the operating mechanisms onto the platform, ensuring the connections were precisely aligned.
When the command "Raise the boom, lower the crossarm!" rang out, the operations were carried out quickly, systematically, and precisely. Having completed the assembly and operation, the gunners continued with the task of securing the platform, covering it with tarpaulin, and loading the truck to tow it.

First Lieutenant Do Chi Cong, Company Commander of Company 2, who directly commanded the troops in recovering the equipment, said: “To improve the practical skills of the combat crew, we organized theoretical training combined with practical training. The crew members strictly adhered to safety regulations for personnel and equipment, focusing on mastering each individual operation and improving coordination in the process of disassembling and loading C75-M3 ammunition with moving vehicles. The goal was to ensure smooth and precise coordination to achieve the best results. In addition to the training content prescribed by higher authorities, the unit also focused on improving the skills in handling complex situations, cultivating courage and psychological resilience, and enhancing the endurance of the troops in all difficult and harsh weather conditions.”
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Toan, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 236, stated: “Based on the resolutions of the higher-level Party Committee and our own, the unit has implemented a comprehensive range of measures in terms of politics , ideology, and organization. We always prioritize educating officers and soldiers about the unit's combat traditions through seminars, traditional talks, and political and ideological activities; at the same time, we apply training content closely to specific situations. This is an important prerequisite for cultivating discipline, combat style, and enhancing the courage of our troops.”
As the sun was setting, the scorching rays of the sun still beat down on the sweat-drenched backs of the soldiers. Beside the C75-M3 missile launcher, officers and soldiers of Battalion 62 continued their rigorous training. This dedication contributed to improving the quality of combat training and successfully completing their assigned tasks. For many years, the unit has been awarded the title of "Excellent Training Unit"; in 2025, it will be awarded the title of "Unit of Victory".
